I've been holding out for Kesler's game with better leadership qualities, but Brind'Amour is good call. Fingers crossed.
Girgensons makes the players around him better. Hodgson's battle is noticeably better since they've been paired up.
I hope we acquire someone who ensures we can give him a few more years before he has to do that..

Good point about hodgson. He has 7 points now in his last 6 games, and last night he set his career high in points...on one of the worst offensive teams in nhl history. He does have skill and still has value, even if it's as a winger instead of center

That's a horrible hit. Multiple game suspension for sure. This power play is abysmal though. Luke Adam is awful

To go along with the conspiracies I see no way in hell bettman even gives the isles a chance of winning the lottery in 2015 if they use their draft pick this year. With the isles moving to Brooklyn that year I doubt he'd allow them to be embarrassed by having us use their pick to select mcdavid/eichel. Wouldn't be surprised if he already assured them that wouldn't happen either

There was some talk by the broadcasters that Fasching could be leaning towards turning pro next year…is that a decision he solely gets to make or do the Sabres have to offer him an ELC first? and would they do that if thats the case. I feel like they may want him to develop a little bit more at Minnesota first

I'm not married to the notion of drafting any one player. And I'm even trying to brace myself for them going defense with Ekblad.
A few of these guys look great and I don't want to be disappointed if they don't take the one guy I decide I really like.
yep thats where I'm at. and If we somehow come out of the draft with any two of Bennett/Ekblad/Reinhart…oh shoot i just woke up. Bennett/Reinhart would be a dream

yes, exactly. i think we could use someone like that but we shall see what Murray prefers. I won't be disappointed with Reinhart or Bennett. Even Ekblad I think i can come around to

in my opinion we are getting to the point where we have enough big bodied guys with some skill but lacking in the skating department. I think we need another explosive player or two that can really move up and down the ice. The only decent skater on this team right now is ennis and conacher?… maybe baptiste in the prospect pool. I'm sure I'm missing a few but it seems we have a lot of guys that have some skill/size but aren't the greatest skaters. Im all for drafting reinhart but would not be disappointed one bit with bennett. draisaitl scares me a little.

Reinhart seems like the right guy for all the obvious reasons, but I can't seem to stop from leaning towards Bennett
well, why not both? if reinhart were there id take him over draisaitl with our 2nd pick

The isles are 4th worst right now…if they stay there the worst they pick is pick 5 in the draft. if thats the case I am okay with them giving us the pick this year. Out of reinhart, bennett, ekblad, dal colle, draisaitl, ehlers, id be happy with any of those guys at 5 or 6. If they do worse than that I am definitely hoping they give us the pick next year, but i think they draft this year if they are top 5

Fasching pretty nonexistent...doesn't really make much happen unless he somehow gets the puck down low
He did play a big part in the 2nd goal though with a screen in front which is what he does best
