Going to be interesting to see what the Blues do in net going forward. Are they going to rely on Jake Allen and hope he turns this around? Do they bring Halak back or try Hiller? I just don't see Miller sticking around.
I hope they rely on Allen and turnover the team a little bit and miss the playoffs giving us another lottery pick. Unlikely, but certainly not out of the question. Another first round exit is not what they were looking for or expecting

Basically a main reason I'd prefer Bennett to reinhart. I want that explosiveness we lack on this team. Not that Bennett is in the same class as mackinnon skating wise but he's the more explosive between him and reinhart
So the refs call a penalty for 'snowing' with 4 min left but are too big of pussies to call an obvious holding on a 2 on 1 for the wild with an open net that would've sealed it. Immediately the Avs take it down the ice and score the thing goal to send it to overtime. No consistency
Also at first glance looked like an obvious off sides but didn't get a chance to see it again yet

I'd have zero problem with a team putting in an entire lineup of Scott's kaletas cookes bertuzzis etc and just gooning the bruins the 1st game of a series and destroying them. I'm sick of their cheapshots and getting all the calls and suspensions or lack there of going their way. If u can't beat them, join em. I long for the way we are the bigger better and stronger team and their fans go back to rooting for the celtics or whatever team is in fashion at that time

Has anyone seen this? Comparison between last year and this years playoffs for the Blues. EERILY similar...
Guess what happened in game 5? Blues lose 3-2 in OT on Voynov game winner 8 min into 1st OT. Tonight? Blues lose 3-2 in OT on Toews game winner 7:36 into 1st OT period. Crazy.

Well that was a Buffalo-esque loss for the prospects…so damn frustrating. we don't know how to win in the NHL, NFL, or the AHL. Hopefully they rebound and prove they're winners but that was a devastating loss

Reading the blues fan board it seems most are pretty unhappy with miller and don't want to re-sign him unless it's for a deal like 3 years 4.5 mill a year. If that's the case he's gone

these playoffs have been great for the infamous #bucciovertimechallenge on twitter. Anybody got picks? I'm taking Steen and Sharp on this game.
I always go with guys that's aren't that good, a literally have almost no chance of scoring, so that if they do score not many people picked them and I have a better shot at winning. So, that being said, I picked Derek Roy :) and Handzus

It would be nice to see one of our young guys come into the league and show something like guys like tarasenko and palat have shown. I want to say its dissappointing none of our young guys seem like they're gonna be that player, but then I remember tarasenko and palat I think are around 23 years old so it gives me some hope still considering they have 4 years on guys like grigorenko.
It's just frustrating to see these teams in addition to how good they are already, have these young superstars that are pushing them even further, while the sabres don't seem to have either, even though everyone talks about their prospect pool. Talent does feed off of other talent though so that has something to do with it. As we supply out team with increased talent at every position thru our drafts, upcoming prospects, and free agency, I think well see some guys step up their game. Between this years and next years draft and the prospects we have, hopefully well have our tarasenkos when we are finally back into playoff contention in 3 or 4 years
Sometimes it just sucks to see teams like the Avs with all the talent they have, suck and win the lottery last year and get a guy like mackinnon and now theyre in cup consideration in one year. Tampa already has stamkos, by far the best prospect not in the nhl in drouin, plus two rookie of the year contenders. Makes you realize how far ahead these teams are compared to us

I wonder with Anderson struggling if the ducks get knocked out early if they make a run at Miller if he doesn't sign in St. Louis. Problem is they have Gibson close to ready, so would they be willing to delay his start even further and have him be the backup for a few years... I suppose they can always trade him. I'll take him if that's the case
