  1. actually it did touch his stick, he barely ticks it before it hits the goalies glove then goes off his skate and in but its still a good theoreticaly example. if there is no original shot or if theres too much time between the last shot and the puck still goes in (perhaps off a skate like that or an own goal) then the closest player should get the goal (they have to give it to somebody) but with an obvious original shot from the point that goes directly off a guys ass i think its pretty clear that the goal should go to the shooter, imo
  2. ive been a hockey fan my whole life and i still cant figure out why a shot that goes off a guys ass counts as a goal for him. should be the last guy to touch it with his stick

    Derek Roy Tracker

hes a good player. i was sorry to see him go but it was time. the sabres desperately needed someone like ott and the bflo 'fans' had decided roy was to blame for all the recent failures. i wish him well against everybody but us
  4. i like kassian and i hope he does well against everybody except the sabres, but even just a one for one swap id take hodson over him right now. and considering we got a solid defenseman for FREE in the deal im still sticking with the word despoil *hodgson
  5. is there another word that could possibly be used to describe what regier pulled off in the hodgson-kassian trade that doesnt involve the shaving of woolen animals?
  6. i didnt hear the game but when i googled paul hamilton this came up so i like him http://images.yandy.com/Products/Sexy-Nurse-Bikini.jpg
  7. i was a good skiier and skater and that still looks both fun and scary. also looks like a severed artery waiting to happen. wonder how many injuries there are
  8. i wish seven of nines costume wasnt so baggy
  9. hecht always had duty to play against the opponents best players and he did it well. i for one will miss him
  10. one word: cray zee miller does not throw teammates under the bus. unless you consider criticizing himself throwing himself under the bus. he speaks his mind which is usually the unvarnished truth, including when he or others need to do better. thats called leadership. hes essentially a second captain and if it wasnt for the silly rule that goalies cant be captain he would have been one this whole time. im glad hes there to provide his mature and usually even tempered guidance. hes probably not as good as he looked in the olympic run and not as bad as he was middle of last season. but hes still upper third in the league and has the potential to become vezina quality again at any time
  11. doesnt matter in this case. scott will never play anything close to a regular shift. when lindy sends him out he doesnt care if he gets a penalty, hes just trying to punish the opponent for taking liberties. a few minutes short handed is a small price to pay to set the precident that if you go after our stars we send the gorilla after yours like i said, not an ideal solution. but they never have to worry about not having a response for running your franchise goalie
  12. most of the people here are full of crap roy is a good hockey player who is a total finesse guy on a team desperate for toughness. frustrated fans expecting cup runs the last few seasons need a target to hate and roy became that guy expect roy to give you zero nastiness and limited leadership, make sure you protect him, and youll get at least sixty plus points a season out of him
  13. i dont like fighting in hockey, i wish they would remove it from the game, but since that aint happening then this was a necessary move first off, if shanahan had done his job and suspended lucic like he should have, the rash of sudden goonery would not have erupted last season and this move would not be needed. shanahan struggled to maintain control, failing often, after that huge and grossly unfair mistake even though its correct that this guy will likely never fight lucic or chara, what he does is give lindy a retailation option. now if somebody takes a liberty with any sabre, lindy just sends this guy out to start targeting their star players. nobody is going to be able to intimidate this guy, none of the other designated fighters can beat him, so he likely will rarely have to be used. opposing players know what the consequences will be even if he hardly never plays its not a great solution, but with the sabres still too small and soft to have actual skaters do the intimidating, this will have to do
  14. based on what happened after the trade the only word to describe what darcy did to vancouver is related to sheering of the woollen coat of a domestic sheep unfortunately the sabres Ń•hit the bed so theres no playoff stats to compare, but for regular season contributions the sabres clearly won. besides, kassian only played about five minutes a game for vancouver in the playoffs and mags didnt even suit up. given how sultzer was getting nearly twenty minutes a game and hodgson about eighteen id say they were integral parts of the team and would have received far more minutes than that had the sabres made the postseason or a long-haired goat
