I am just guessing here--and I mean guessing--but TBD has a significantly larger crowd, so if anyone other than Scott or his designee starts posting picks, it will get chaotic, and the mods will have a lot of cleanup to do. Here, we just kind of know it's going to be a mod for the first couple of rounds (seems like Chz lately) and go along with it.

That's why on the analytics, and I agree with you wholeheartedly on face-offs, and I am happy that TB won. The series I'm mostly interested in--Rags and NJ--is upside-down. I really thought the Rags were going to take the series and go all the way to the finals based upon the way they came out in games 1 and 2. And now...wow.

They have used every system imaginable, including a straight 1-16, so which system do you mean? Personally, I liked one team coming out of each division, even though it wasn't great for us here in Sabreland.

Yeah, Larry Quinn, who brought you the slug and who let Briere and Drury walk away, "gets it." It is amazing that this guy, who was universally loathed here 13 years ago, is now being lionized in these pages.

Not a-tall. Nor his first stint. The Sabres weren't setting the world on fire in the mid-1990s, either, although they did win the division under Quinn once then.
