  1. That's Gaetano to you. Has to be.
  2. I never thought I'd see the day when a current Buffalo Bills player is front-and-center in the gossip pages.
  3. Well thank you. Now onto the next question: Just who was Tom Webster? Your answer should be between 500 and 700 words, written in clear and cogent English, and include a conclusion about how the life of Tom Webster affected your understanding of the Korean conflict.
  4. I forgot to post this yesterday: John Murphy continues to recover from his stroke, and Chris Brown will be starting the season doing radio play-by-play for the Bills, as he concluded last season. I would assume that regardless of how one feels about Murphy's PBP abilities, we all are rooting for a complete recovery for the guy.
  5. This assumes she wants to coach men's hockey, in which case, she should be an assistant on the Colgate men's team instead. The two versions have enough differences that she'll need some experience coaching men before moving to the pro level. (I suppose she might be able to gain that experience as an assistant-to-the-assistant in Rochester?)
  6. I would have no problem if Adams signs Zadina to a one- or two-year low-value deal. Maybe Granato can work his magic. I also would have no problem if that doesn't happen. But it seems like a low-risk, high-potential-reward situation.
  7. Ah very clever...if you had put the second T in there I might have noticed!
  8. Yeah that's why I sat on it.
  9. It's not much of a Buffalo connection. Here, I'll release the hint early because I'm about to get in the car... Lindy Ruff flew at the guy and tackled him once. I think GA had it based on an exchange in my DMs. Did you? Indeed.
  10. Big hint coming at noon.
  11. I was wondering why there were only three teams. Thanks for the explanation.
  12. Thanks. They're going to be a bit on the easier side for some folks--especially the first one--so it wouldn't be the worst thing if the expert-level players let others have a shot, yeah?
  13. How about I give it a try? I started this thread! I've got a few questions in here. The Sabres picked Gilbert Perreault first overall in 1970 and had the first pick in each round. Two questions, one on the easier side (with bonus answers) and one a little harder: 1. Whom did the Sabres select in the second round (first pick in that round)? Can you name any other Sabres picks? 2. The draft format at the time allowed teams to keep picking, round after round after round, until a team decided not to pick any more players. Which team kept picking for 13 rounds? EDIT: I'm adding a third question--harder than the first two--because the wiki article that I checked to make sure I knew my stuff has a great fact: 3. Who was the last active player from that 1970 draft? (I have a hint that makes this pretty easy for Sabres fans but I will withhold it until noon tomorrow.)
  14. Reportedly (just from the apple news feed on my phone), they are trying like crazy to get rid of Murray. Oh well. So sorry, leaves.
  15. This is why questions of that caliber--I am not picking on GA here, because there have been more than a few of them--are not fun. It's supposed to be a trivia thread and not an "identify the obscure" thread, but it's a runaway so it is what it is.
  16. Yeah I looked 'em up AFTER I guessed...interesting thing, and here's some trivia...both Rammers ended up playing the exact same number of NHLregular season games at 1070. That's some John Adams / Thomas Jefferson level stuff right there.
  17. I know we have Ramsey but do we have Ramsay yet? It's getting to be too long to look back several pages.
  18. Teppo and Gionta are great guesses. Maybe Staal too.
  19. Unless we can name another 6-cup winning Sabre, he's gotta be one of them.
  20. Ah you guys, you don't know Dick.
  21. Gillies was my next guess.
  22. Andreychuk on the 1000th in Buffalo thing, maybe Gilmour too?
