  1. 😂 That's a stretch. So make bad moves because?
  2. No but they opposite can be true. The whole "Adams overvalues his players" thing. Imagine you're a GM of a team targeting a top Sabres player/prospect. You essentially offer a bag of pucks hoping to swindle Adams who you see as inexperienced. But he doesn't bite. What do you do next? You run to the Dregers, Friedmans or Seravellis with the hot tip that Adams overvalues his players because you know the fanbase will go bonkers, and maybe put pressure on the Sabres. You'll notice we don't hear that trope anymore. As to your point, I don't think the Sabres talk to any press. Note how no one knew about the Kekalainen hire before it happened. Not Dregers. Not Paul Hamilton.
  3. Keep in mind where most hockey journalists get their "scoops." From GMs and agents looking to manipulate the market.
  4. Wasn't there an Eichel angle to Bylsma's firing? He wanted him gone?
  5. Refresh my memory. Why did the Sabres fire Dan Bylsma? Was it to appease a certain premature captain?
  6. And so it begins. The tearing down of Jarmo Kekalainen. Surprised it took this long.
  7. Probably because TSN can get Marty for part time money. Why pay more? Doesn't he also do work for French language RDS?
  8. I don't recall fans despising Appert. Especially since he got the Amerks to the Final Four in 2023. They lost to eventual cup winner Hershey 4-2.
  9. Sabres Live is still state radio so it's understandable.
  10. I'm fine if you are basing it on something other than someone imagining that scenario then treating it like fact.
  11. As long as you're basing your post on something tangible.
  12. Maybe those were topics they didn't want discussed. "So tell me, Jarmo? is Kevyn Admas the biggest simp you've ever encountered, and how do you feel about having to answer to him?" "How desperate were you to take this job?"
  13. Not a great loss. Just another "fluke" season, apparently.
  14. So you are involved or connected to the Sabres somehow? And you've heard discussions that Appert is the heir apparent? People just talk about such things within your earshot? Pretty good for the coach of a "middling" AHL team. 😁
  15. Likely none. Just assume the Amerks are the same as the Sabres, even though they were the 6th best team in the AHL. Truth and accuracy are not a requirement here.
  16. Double down when you're wrong because you know most posters here will back you up.
  17. What it says is when you lose a lot, it's open season on your a**. No one is going to fact-check.
  18. We are on the same page. But you have to admit there is a tendency to create narratives and treat them like gospel. Here's an example: This morning on WGR Jeremy & Joe said several times Jarmo Kekäläinen's job was to "push Adams into making moves." But they never cited a single instance Adams got cold feet in a trade negotiation. And even that gets dicey because you don't know what was being offered. Is it "cold feet" to not make a bad trade?
  19. Because it would force you to say something good about Adams. The horror.
  20. He's been a disappointment for sure. But I don't see the need to lie about the job he's doing. In my opinion he drafts well, he tries to make deals but is stymied by NMCs. He still manages to make some deals. None are blockbusters but he's made some good moves like adding Zucker and trading for Byrum and McLeod. But players still have to play. And when someone complains about a losing culture, who's doing the losing?
  21. It's hilarious how you're backtracking. First you said Adams was incompetent at drafting. Now you're saying it doesn't matter if he is competent at that one thing. Why do you feel compelled to make up stuff? Do you feel that because he's been a disappointment at his job you can just lie about whatever?
  22. 1) There are 32 AHL teams. 2) Rochester finished 6th overall in the regular season and made the final 8 in the Calder Cup tournament. 3) How is being in the top 20-25% make you middle of the pack?
  23. And yet you felt the need to invent another flaw that could be easily disproved.
