I think they were right about that Brierre stick on Thomas. That probably should have been 4 min to Briere and 2 to Boynton, but nonetheless this guys have been AWFUL. I did just catch that "typical Brierre" fashion - like Danny is known league-wide as a guy that runs goalies! Why would someone run a goalie on a breakway! Being the home announcers is one thing, but these guys are atrocious! I also got the intermission analysis and they did not like the holding call that made it 4-3 for a few seconds; yet, Jay McKee got called for just an awful of hold call in the same period.

5-4 Buffalo on a Leafs SH goal. Kalinin gives the puck up on at the offensive blue line and then doesn't get back on the backcheck. He is a waste of space IMO.

I could not have said it any better myself. The only team that Buffalo appears to be overmatched against is Ottawa and just about every team in the league can probably say the same thing; but then again who knows? We have not played them since early in the year. Any chance that the "Let's Go Buffalo" chants could be heard last night on tee-vee? There was a great group of Sabre fans in the 300's although every time we go that chant going it was usually drowned out by "boo's" a minute later!

i don't know if i am still hunover, but i just read through this complete thread and don't think anybody made it sound as though they were going to carry on for the next two months?!? where did you draw that conclusion? we only do that when it is game 6 of a Cup final. as for that play imo it looked like he was trying to kick the puck up to this stick - not towards the net - evidenced by regehrs swinging his stick just as it crossed the line so since he did not intential direct it towards the net. i think that is why it was not reversed. that play and the atrocious call that put them down two men - i can not remember that it was - totally took everything out of them. too bad b/c they should have tried to use that to inspire them. heading to MSG with about 30 fans from the NYCity Buffalo Bills Backers on Tuesday so hopefully we can make some noise!!

I wish I knew why we are all in the minority when it comes to our interest in hockey. I love sitting here flipping between all of these hockey games, especially when games are in places like Calgary, Edmonton, Minny, Detroit, etc. and of course, Buffalo. I just don't get why this sport is below golf, wrestling, and women's softball on the fan interest level. As I say that though, I do think a big part of it is the NHL does a horrible job marketing. They need to somehow get a stick in a kids hand everywhere in the U.S., just the way every kid throws a football, shoots a basket, or plays stickball...

the only thing Miller could have done there is not have Kalinin on the ice... my 1st period observations - just as "low" as some people thought we were the past few weeks, we can not consider this a "high" - back to Kalinin, when you are last guy back like that, you HAVE to make sure the puck gets through. he shot it right in to the legs of a King defender. i'm tired of waiting for this guy to come around - somebody, hopefully Peters, better give Avery what he deserves for taking swipes at Miller like he did

just got back from the Meadowlands where everything is clear and consise about the future of Buffalo's other pro team... Here's hoping the Sabre perform better...they tri-state area Bills fans can't wait for the Sabres/Rangers on 1/24!!!

Props to Timmy Connolly's continued great play and also Marty Biron and Brian Campbell. Kalinin continues to disappoint me. ...and I really like Gaustad. I think he, McKee and Mair are the only guys that still hit.
