I agree but I’ve also seen teammates get jazzed when someone on their team dropped the gloves. I think it’s a necessary evil that can get some extra motivation and emotion involved in the games. Not that you disagree with that premise.

Right. It seems as if whomever Dan reports to feels his non radio style aka RJs style is sufficient. It can be maddening listening in the radio but I think his style suits TV, where he came from.

What you are seeking is a radio play by play announcer. That’s where RJ made his chops and never really backed off the style. Most Sabres fans have come to expect that radio style of describing every single detail. Dan can from TV. His style has lots of gaps and holes intentionally to let the game fill in and give the color guy some air. Dan’s style doesn’t translate well to radio. If that’s where you consume the Sabres, you will be disappointed.

He’s never going to fill RJ’s shoes adequately for most here. I understand it but don’t really agree. RJ is a legend but his hysterical screaming was a bit much. It was cool getting caught up in the moment but he was super over the top. Anyone who followed was going to be cast in his shadow and never live up to the legend. It’s ok. He’s fine. Would I like some improvements, sure. Is he as good as most teams PBP announcers? Certainly.

I disagree on Östlund. I waver on Rosen. Östlund looked great with the Amerks. Rosen isn’t flashy which is probably why he slides down the prospect ranks but I see him in the league soon.

Nope actual good NHL players are the desire now. And no one likes Dahlin…for whatever reason.

It’s the off-season. Talking prospect value isn’t an obscene exercise. I have high hopes and low expectations in regards to off-season acquisitions. Hopefully Adams does something to move the needle.

The Sabres best assets are on the roster. Let’s not be afraid to trade them. By them I mean anyone.

There is the possibility that he gets his career back on track with the Bills. He didn’t get to show much after he left the Stillers.

In no way would I want Quinn included in a trade for Tkachuk. Power should be the the main cog in the trade.
