I get demoting Skinner if he’s not following whatever system Ralph employs (not sure I agree with it) but FFS man act like you have a plan. This team needs him to be a contributing member. If you can’t figure out a way, find a guy who can. Ralph is slowly slipping down the totem pole. He says a lot of neat things and acts like a leader. In the end, I don’t know if any of that translates to being a good hockey coach.

They had at least 3 drive starts inside their own 15. While I would have appreciated them sticking to their fully array of plays, it’s not hard to see why they shortened it up a bit. I hope they either have a long sit down with Robert’s about when he should or shouldn’t take the ball out of the end zone or just sit him altogether. I think McKenzie is as good or a bette return man any way, regardless of All-Pro status.

I suppose it will evolve naturally albeit much slower due to the T-Rexes in charge. Like baseball and football, analytics will take over and set the correct path. What do you base this on? Empirical data? It’s not easy to prove out but to just dismiss something that has been in place for a century seems rather flippant. One would thing having a player play in all situations, soaking up as much ice time as they can handle, experiencing every aspect of professional hockey would benefit somehow. To hell with it, just have everyone go right from pee wee to the NHL. Nothing to learn unless they are with serious pros like Risto or Matt Ellis.
