The Sabres seem like a decade of drafting and development away from being a playoff contender. It's about as bleak as I can remember. This is post 3 of the worst seasons in this teams history. I have no hope for this team to be good before I die.

All the hype surrounding him prior to acquiring him really left us with very high expectations. He sailed way below them. His game is underwhelming in every aspect. I'm trying to figure out why he was so highly touted.

Still think he's only worth a 4th round pick. You find a GM that'll give you more, you jump on it. He's garbage. Watching him play against professional players in both the NHL and AHL has cemented my opinion. He simply doesn't have what it takes to be a professional hockey player.

I'm referring to going prospect heavy. The coach won't matter much especially since the prospect pool is as weak as it's been in years.

He played the prospects as much as you'd want a coach to. Borgen got top pairing minutes, Mitts got top line minutes. Bryson's minutes escalated as the season wore on. He definitely knew how to mix in the vets with the rookies to put a good product on the ice. It really makes you question the orgs direction getting rid of Chris Taylor.

Sorry. History has taught us. Hiring these development guys = cultural shift to prospects with no regard to winning in the AHL. Even though this has been proven time and time again to provide a toxic, losing culture that players can't get away from fast enough.
