I'm no GM, but I didn't foresee 30th at the outset. The off season was too strong in my view. By Christmas, of course, we all did. Some of you may have sooner. FTR --- hardly a contender, but somewhere between 24 and 30.

Swimming in my head ... My view that Ted didn't develop younger guys very well (the last ten games notwithstanding), Tom's point (above), GMTMs comments about reaching out to 19 year olds ..... all juxtaposed with TN's success in Juniors and the Olympics.

Impression: TM and TN talked together for a total of about seven minutes this season. Whose "fault"? I have no idea. I don't get the feel that reporting to Murray is "comfortable". Before anyone says it, I understand comfort isn't the point.

I'm no stenographer - here goes. GMTM talked personally with Z. Told him his teammates and coaches expected more. Part of becoming a man. Said Z is still immature. Compared him to a young, but more mature, Risto. Tellingly, said coach has to reach out to 19 year olds because 19 year olds don't reach out to you.

I have turned over my leaf. "We got this". The Desert Dogs win 62.6% of their games played within two weeks of Federal Income Tax deadlines. You got me ... Missed the playoffs? Edit ... I just googled. They did miss the playoffs. The Bruins scored 349 goals! I googled again ... Edmonton scored 446 in 83-84! 5.4 per game! OK, I'm a googling machine .... Three Oilers totaled 193 goals ... Buffalo has 155 this year. My, how the game has changed.
