  1. Information, please, as I follow along. Is 1998 the year we believe Israel got a nuke? I would've guessed earlier. Google is my friend .... Pakistan and India. Carry on.
  2. The US is interested in the Middle East because oil sits under the sand. I am surprised when Americans debate this, when Americans have "ah ha" and "gotcha" moments around this, and when Americans point to it as some evil or behind the scene hidden motive. The sun rises in the east. The earth orbits the sun. The US is interested in the Middle East because of oil, our craving for it as citizens, and our economic system where people that provide what we crave profit. Nothing, I hope, controversial to this point. Now, one of my favorite self examination exercises. If I've purchased a gallon of gasoline, I've done my small part in sending the colossus that is the US into the Middle East. You and I are Washington, Exxon, and Halliburton. Together we are one vote, one purchasing decision, at a time.
  3. Frank Lloyd Wright Falling Water, $99.00 ...... a labor of love.
  4. Right ... and with each decision comes half of America calling you a nincompoop, or worse, perhaps for years.
  5. I had the same thoughts with regard to the crowd, Perreault, and Eichel. I also googled words to describe the beard. "stringy, sparse, ephemeral, ethereal ...." I couldn't nail it. Shiloh's awesome.
  6. Maybe I make it too hard. The al-Awlaki drone strike has always troubled me. His demise doesn't.
  7. Can enemy combatants be killed without due process? I'm not trying to lead you anywhere. I struggle with this. Is GITMO legit? In other words - if you can kill a US citizen without due process, can you hold someone in a facility without trial?
  8. One thing I take away from the debates. Being President is one thankless job you have to work mind bogglingly hard to get.
  9. Opinions all .... should / can a US President order the killing of a US citizen abroad with a drone strike targeting that specific citizen? The intersection of hawkish posture and the Constitution.
  10. That's like not saying Radical Islam.
  11. Well, if you're not watching but know, I can only admire your superpowers. Cowardice around words in politicians, and requiring cowardice around words by constituencies, are two plagues upon good government.
  12. Morning fun .... Watch last night's debate and discussion around using the term Radical Islam.
  13. Coach's challenge? Naaaa, clean
  14. I rewound - he could've done more to avoid a vulnerable Girgs ...
  15. Almost had a Freddy Shero ... Old timer reference
  16. I think he's the only one who did anything. My view. Awkward hit, no doubt. I don't like the players jumping in after clean big hits. Keg in the back yard.
  17. A complete beast ...
  18. HRC can shine. In some sense, a foreign policy event like yesterday's helps her more than anyone. She's among the left's strongest on the military and is definitely so among its candidates. At the same time, she is a Dem, and will benefit in a general election where the right's reputation for war will make her attractive. In some sense, she's tough, but not adventurous. I thought of her as benefitting (no schadenfreude accusation) most last night.
  19. It wasn't lost in translation at all. I'm grateful you thought enough and posted to be absolutely certain.
  20. Fried chicken embryos!
  21. I owe you more! I had an opinion not far from the one you laid out, example by example. Guilty as charged. Perhaps not so strident, but close. I never stopped ordering French fries, however. I never took the Freedom Fries step. Seemed silly. I sneered at the Dixie Chicks, instead. My joke (and I'm glad you laughed) was inspired by it being a left/right thing. My early view was formed/affirmed living among a union Democrat, WWII veteran filled, South Buffalo, liberal to you die, beautiful family and neighbors. For fun. Click here, and imagine walking inside and announcing "The French are awesome". http://www.forgottenbuffalo.com/classictavernslastcall.html
  22. The Andy Kaufman thing is beautiful. Your math is more precise than mine. I agree she knows her audience. I think it's authentically Coulter, however. Her tweets would be the same to an audience of one. Think so?
  23. I'm sick of bad weather, disease and acne from the right, too! Oh, and platform shoes and bell bottoms! Menudo and other boy bands ... and everything i don't like!
  24. Paris, Trump and elections ... Ann Coulter is a baseball bat when you're looking for a chopstick. She's a claxon horn when you're looking for an oboe. Reply as you like - I'm not posting because i'm interested in your view of Ann. Your view of her tweets in light of how they represent the thinking of a large portion of America is interesting to me. She's not for me, but her followers aren't evil, dumb caricatures, either. I present the tweets trusting you all with your view of me. This is not an endorsement of Ann. My "right leanings" would be viewed as pablum and low fat milk by Ann. She'd snicker at me. Her tweets give insight into the passions inside half (?) of our country. I've heard this language. I've used some of it. Its inflammatory and this board strives to be measured. I find her bluntness fascinating, if not her conclusions. i will say this, right or left. I prefer plain spoken language. Love or hate, read away. http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/260155-coulter-after-paris-attacks-trump-was-elected-president-tonight
