What the hell is wrong with you people? The only truly awful goalies we have seen this season have been Hackett and Lieuwen. Enroth, Neuvirth and now Lindback have all responded to Irbe's coaching and have given this team a chance to win nearly every game once they (the goalies) got going. Some of you are all about trading for players not doing well in another system because there's a chance they may thrive in a new location with new coaches, new team mates, a new system, and a new outlook. Why can't that possibly be true for goalies?

If it's like for a first-time mortgage, the withholding is just a buffer for the account. They would re-coup at the end of the financial year, whatever that is.
-
Hmm...I suppose that's one way of looking at it. You could also say that any sequence of more than one game where they gained points is an aberration.
-
That would imply a mutiny by the coaching staff.

Right. This ties into my thoughts. The only thing I have is that Murray is running numbers, and, like TBPhD, he has faith in his numbers. That everything will fall into place mathematically.

I'm happy they got the win tonight. But I do want to see them complete the tank. So, what keeps going through my mind is "what is Murray going to do about this as we head down the stretch?" This is all on Murray. ALL. ON. MURRAY. If the Sabres do not finish the tank correctly, it's because Murray allowed that to happen.

There are other types of movies, you know.

No way, it's going to be Star Trek.

Okay, that's the first interview I've seen from Lindback. I like him. I hope he keeps getting better.
-
Haha. You know, they won't be blown out the remainder of the season. They will win a few. And, it's okay if one of those wins is against Boston.
-
WTF, who ever called Irbe the "goalie whisperer" nailed it.
-
Lindback wants the win badly.

FWIW, I think the Sabres will always take it to the Bruins going forward. It's engrained in the organization at this point.
-
Weber is having another good game but he looks tired.
-
Are my eyes deceiving me or do the Sabres have the Bruins a little scared to go into the corners? ...?
-
For whatever it's worth, Lindback looks like a monster in front of that net. I like that. I hope he turns into a good one...next season.

I'm just going to put this in THIS thread...
-
If Irbe could get Lindback to track the puck better when it's deep in the zone, he might be pretty okay. I will say that Irbe seems to be squeezing a lot of water from those rocks.

I set you up, only to bowl you over.

^--- I wonder how many people will agree with the above. I honestly don't know what kind of game ROR would bring to the Sabres. The more cap space, the better, if they have a ROR-type player already.

You can't go there. LGR, perhaps, but you, nope. Sorry. You handed in your "average sports Joe" card seasons ago.

I thought the Sabres looked smaller than the Rangers. In fact, I recall, recently, being a little surprised at how much smaller the Sabres still look playing against some teams. I'm sure there has to be a "how-you-play-the-game" factor to these impressions.

The idea that Grigorenko could be part of a trade seems pretty solid to me. He was very good in camp, but that and a dollar would net you two Little Debbie Honey Buns and that's about it. I guess the question is: what is his value? Would he, plus the second first, land the Sabres ROR? GMTM can't be the only GM who gets all whacky over prospects.
