Well, lets not be insulting. Surely it's bakers' dozens.

The NHL should force teams to wear morph suits for some games.

Samson scores.

I am paralyzed at my feelings of joy that the Sabres scored, but at the sense of disappointment that it took them so long to do so.

Help, help, I'm being repressed!

It's clearly contact in the crease.

And there was much rejoicing.

All five Panthers fans are on pins and needles.

Tenacious E. Should we celebrate the goal or feel shame that he didn't try and pass it through the slot? I dunno.

Yikes, Ullmark, yikes.

I can complain about so many things surrounding the job thing, but I don't really wish to waste anyone's time. I will say, though, that I find it the height of hypocrisy that, while on the one hand the social meme for a long time now has been about doing the right thing for children and doing things that benefit the family, yet when you arrange your career to tend to those very things, you essentially give yourself a career Scarlett Letter.

It doesn't read like he's back, it reads like he's dropping by to shame us.

Not that I need a job, but, I'd like a change of scenery, for lack of a better or more efficient way of putting it. Seems, though, I either suck, have no idea what I'm doing, am out of touch, or killed my career by working for myself. I can't get any action on about two-dozen resumes sent over the past several months. WTF. I wish we would have moved to Nashville...

SEe! That's my life, lately.

"New-ness"... whoever asked Bylsma that question didn't use the term correctly. It's "new-ness-ness".

Jack be nimble, Jack be quick, is that Jack's pen!s or his hockey stick? Jack be nimble, Jack be quick, Jack has moves the kids call "sick". Jack be nimble, Jack be quick, that's another goal you sumanabitch. Jack be nimble, Jack be quick, I like saying "Yike-al"; I'll make it stick. Jack be nimble, Jack be quick, boom rat-ta-toowy, biff boom click.

Love it. Love the attitude of this guy. None of this serious, mushy, introspective crap. Just bold, in your face, almost crazy. Love it to pieces.

They should really have open auditions. I would make a great RJ replacement.

After 15 games, who is the most surprising Sabre?
... replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Aud Club
I thought the team would be good, so, overall, I guess I'm not surprised with how they have looked the past few weeks. I won't be surprised if they roller coaster into a WC slot. A little surprised the D corps is as solid as it is, but that little surprise is aided by the main surprise to me which would be Bylsma. I, too, didn't watch the Penguins close enough to get a feel for the coaching, but the fact he was fired put a stigma on him for me. And he's goofy. But, I really dig his coaching and liken it to what Lindy Ruff may have been trying to do here, except that it's being done correctly. I would say McGinn is also a surprise. I saw him as a salary dump for Colorado, but I do like what he brings to the team. As for Samson, I think he's doing just fine. I'd peg his game, when it matures, as a ROR type or Pominville type of game. But I think he has better hockey smarts than Pominville. -
You don't need someone who you think will "WIN ALL FIGHTS", you just need someone who will drop them at any moment. That's protection. Whether they win or lose the fight isn't as important as the other team knowing there are folks willing to dance if they as so much as check Eichel the wrong way. Regarding whether stars are targeted more than others, I don't think they are, either. Not in this era of hockey. Maybe 20-30 years ago there would have been a greater chance because there were a lot more goons.

CAN WE STICKY THESE, PLEASE?

Oh! Would you look at that! Nice.

I'd say Christmas time would be a good time to bust out the charts.

I think Jack is perfectly capable of defending himself. His physical presence is coming along as well...he's checking and he's getting in on scrums. He's a big, strong guy, who, in my opinion, was the more durable option between he and McDavid at the draft. That said, D-Lo, McGinn, Foligno, Rasmus, Kane, Gorges, Weber, and Zemgus are all there to protect him.
