Honestly, the problem is the utter lack of communication from the Sabres. And when the Sabres do say something it's like "poor performance? What poor performance?" They would go a long way to hire some competent PR and marketing people and talk to a fan-base that knows what it's looking at instead of pretending what's happening is something else. If there's a plan, then tell us the plan with detail instead of walking around any particular details. If they're happy with the numbers, then tell us why with charts and some of their own metrics. The Sabres need to do something because everyone is pissed off again and their current manner of handling the public is horribly offensive.

You can stick a fork in this season. That's a broken hockey team we saw right there.

My brother died last Thursday from cancer. He was a life-long fan: I became a Sabres fan through him. We shared a room in our ghetto home for 7 years when we were young. His entire side of the room was plastered with Sabres posters, articles, pics, pennants. Even the ceiling. I'm so angry that this piece of s%^t organization does not honor, or even seem to realize, what it means to us plebeians. 51 years of being a fan and not one taste. This last decade has been horrible.

The second of a home and home betwixt The Wild and The Predators and it's a doozy. These guys are playing play-off hockey now.

I don't think Yost or the WGR gang are trying to break news, they're trying to get a handle on all of the problems the team has, why they are problems, and what the course of action should be to address those problems.

I think all of the issues weigh nearly equally, but this is a glaring issue for sure. Yost mentioned that the numbers he has have been adjusted for player influence - so what is the problem? Do these two just suck? Or is it something else?

As soon as the segment is on their site, I'll post it. It was a brilliant break-down of the Sabres' current state with measured and properly analyzed solutions for the problems the team faces. Sorry, I don't have the details in my brain. He said the goal-tending has under performed 5v5, that we're over utilizing low-value players, too many replacement or below-replacement level players.

I think the fact that Mitts and Tage have been on the roster all season long is enough to prove (or strongly indicate) that the team has considered this another development year.

If you have nothing better going on, watch some of this Nashville/Minnesota game. You can see the Preds system is nearly 1:1 with the Sabres. The difference is in how the players execute it. Predator hockey is great.

Hey man, you're not alone. The team isn't great, but they are better. Certainly more fun to watch. We have some new members who seem to be irrational and thrive on negativity bringing down the threads.

Have fun with these thoughts. The team is being built around his system.

Again, a fun game. Perhaps the best thing about the game was I got to really watch Montour and I really like what he brings.

Made a nice, olde skool meatloaf and mashed potatoes dinner with a local IPA. Now I have the fire going and a fresh cup of coffee with the game on the big TV. Hope they win.

So good. If that were any other Sabre other than Eichel that play would have been a disaster for us.
