I may be paraphrasing, there, It's my birthday and I'm really drunk. But the Sabres played a heavy game tonight. Maybe the heaviest Ive seen in a while. It was awesome. I wish they played that heavy against teams in the east.

I meant that as a compliment. They cared so much about the spectacle and used it as a part of their experience, yet their music was solid, and original in its own right. Those later bands were just copies. The spectacle mattered, but the music was just rehash schlock.

The only thing I took away from that game was holy crap, I never realized just how f'n ugly those slug jerseys were! They showed that clip from that last time the Sabres won in St. Louis and they were wearing them,… good christ, that was terrifying.

I think Dan is a pretty good TV PBP guy. Certainly no where near the bottom or needing to be replaced. I do agree that he is no radio PBP guy, though. I also agree that the Sabres need a radio guy in addition to Dan. They were lucky to have RJ for as long as they did, and even RJ wasn’t the RJ that we all have in our memories.

You really need to listen to other teams’ PBP guys. Watch the Dallas feed. Same exact call of the goal. No mention of Tuch because they are still describing Power’s shot and Tuch’s play was a routine keep. And it took the color guy (who I really like) to even mention that it was Power. Dan is fine. And do people still listen to the radio?😂

And the next year he was a -21 player. He became who he was at 26.
