So he was a Sabre fan?
-
Yeah he was.
-
He was there and left.
-
Kaleta is out of the hospital and at home. He won't be making the trip to Boston.
-
Ya think? Could be. (picturing RJ scrambling through papers being thrown at him with names and people talking in his ear saying "just a minute RJ we need a number first")
-
He could have just said "And with his first of many to come for the Buffalo Sabres - Grigorenko ties it up!"
-
Kinda discussing this already in another thread.
-
Speaking of back then. Can you name all the players for the cup run? How fast can you type? http://www.sporcle.com/games/Ajstach/1999_Buffalo_Sabres_Stanley_Cup_Rosters

See what you started!

GAME DISCUSSION THREAD GDT: Leafs at Sabres (7:00PM 1-29-2013)

I have to say, it sucked losing last night. Leopold should've taken that guy out, Miller should've saved that shot. I also have to say that I liked the Sabres team I saw. Holding on to the puck for longer periods of time, not taking crap from the other team and the defense joining the rush. If they continue playing like this we just may have something here. -

Foligno. The Leaf player took a shot and in the process of pulling his stick BACK after the shot caught Foligno in the chin. It was NOT on the follow through. -

If one for one I think Myers-Weber and Ehrhoff-Brennan. Brennan has to clear waivers to go BACK to the AHL. Most here as well as it seems DR think he wouldn't clear. Re-entry is not a problem, it's gone in the new CBA. During the lockout, since he was a callup he needed to sign an AHL contract to play with the Amerks. Once the lockout was over his NHL contract kicked back in, thus the need for waivers to send him down. -

I just pictured Scott skating by Lucic in the warm up and in a Jaws (from James Bond) voice saying "Hey buddy how's it goin'?" -

Great investigative reporting there Paul. You didn't see that Regehr has a walking boot on his right foot? -

All the STH that bought up extra seats and thought they could make a profit on the game. Luckily I'm not one with extra seats. My bf is starting the "blow Leafs blow" chant early in the first. For a second there I saw Grags and freaked the ###### out. -
It's good news but many of us thought it was a no brainer.

To add onto my previous post that he can't play in the AHL until he's 20 yrs old (May 2014) there is another number of games milestone, 23. If he plays in his 23rd games this year it will give him an "accrued year of service". This accrued year would go towards the seven he needs to be a UFA (going UFA in the eight year). Something else for DR to think about if in fact he does play game 6.

To be fair here he was a minus one his first game and even the rest. That first game Hodgson coughed up the puck at center, went for a half ass line change, Flyers rushed in, and Grigorenko had just come off the bench to join the play.

I was thinking more like a dil-do down my pants would really freak him out.
-
I think it's apparent that Grigorenko won't be sitting for entire periods if he stays up after his performance last night. Foligno-Grigorenko-Ott or Leino Grigs-Ott could be some pretty formidable lines out there. I think it's also apparent that he's better than the other options they have for that position.

Much like Ruff mentioned in his after the game interview that they have a play if they win and a play if they lose the faceoff.
-
Plenty of goalies, including Miller sit on the bench with their masks on. What would be more telling is who is in the huddle during the timeout. We should have: Ennis Foligno Ehrhoff Ott Pominville Hodgson
