Hitting the boards like Ennis did (not hunched over, hits with side of his face, proximity to boards) lessen the chance of a spine crushing injury.

I may agree with what he already got. But I don't agree with a big suspension.

But he didn't hit him high and then throw him face first into the boards. He hit him downstairs where his padding is and pushed him towards the boards, not face first into it.
