Joke all you want, but the Sabres are a team of losers and they're all available. I don't care what their stats are.

Package him up with Thompson and see what we get.

Wish I had checked this thread, would have kept an eye out for you. Great show, can't believe how good Static-X still sounds. The tribute to Wayne during Cold was very nice. GWAR was wild. Going to be thinking about the video from that Lot Lizards song for a while...

Sabres hire Brian Galivan as Strength and Conditioning coach
darksabre replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Okay, so this guy's schtick is "try to make a bunch of suburban kids farm strong". It is funny that so much time and energy has been spent on all sorts of gimmicky training programs, supplements, diets, when all anyone really needs to do is lift heavy, build core strength, run like... 3 miles every couple days, get good sleep, and eat a shitload of chicken and pizza. -

I'm tired of strength and conditioning. Where's the liquor and coke coach? -
Bring Mike Commodore in for the intermission report and finish driving the sword into me.

They're certainly linked, but I think if you asked him to his face, you'd get a bunch of pathetic responses that make him the victim of the entire thing.
-
I don't think it's pride, I think he's tired of looking like the one sowing chaos by firing so many different GMs, coaches, etc. over his time as owner. I think he sees himself as a victim. A victim of bad advice from outsiders, a victim of bad staffing internally, etc. So now he's digging in. "The NHL is a development league" I want to take those rumors with a huge grain of salt. If Adams was doing presentations, I have to assume they were scheduled and may have even been his idea. That kinda stuff is his background. I don't believe he is in any kind of danger whatsoever.
-
I'm just going to keep saying it until it sticks, but I don't think Pegula has any intention of deviating from the plan he and Adams have previously agreed on. He may want to know how it's going, what has worked, what hasn't, and what Adams intends to do about it. But he's not going to pull the rip cord. He's not going to disrupt or interfere anymore.
-
I posted months ago after that Palm Trees Presser that KA was acting with Pegula's full confidence because Pegula has finally decided to pick a path and stick to it. They're fully bought into "the NHL as a Development League" talking point and they're running with it. They've also completely written off making the playoffs anytime soon, and you should too.

2025 NHL Trade Deadline: March 7th, at 3pm Eastern

Cozens being tough is such a great bit. I hope whoever dreamed that up for the TSN guys is having a good laugh today. -
I think good players want to play well all the time, regardless of any rumours they might be hearing about trades or whatever. These guys are conditioned to tune it out, it's part of the job. Sports psychologists abound, as do veteran players with sage advice. If Cozens was letting it affect his game in some way, then that's on him for being immature. I don't put much stock in it any of it. I think he's just not the player we thought he was.
