Yup. That's why I offered the prediction I did against LA. I had a feeling that they needed to get knocked around in that game if they were going to win it. Hopefully it wont always be like this.

I think they got a little too confident in their abilities. It happens. They had a string of luck where they didn't really need to grind wins out because the puck kept landing on Skinner's stick. Now they've had some injuries and the passes aren't quite hitting the tape and they had to remind themselves that sometimes you just have to simplify and play a north south game and win some puck battles. Sometimes you have to establish other parts of the game before you can worry about scoring goals.

Here's hoping they're ready to put together a complete effort tonight. I hope the LA game is fresh in their minds.

I've said before that, anecdotally, ROR had issues with Jack, but Jack didn't have any with ROR. It was a one way street. I've wondered, but never sought confirmation, if situation was similar between ROR and other players on the team. I will be interested to hear if similar stories start coming out of St. Louis. I do think it was important to make room for Jack to take over control of the team.

I think you're getting hung up on a logical fallacy. The only person he could have been talking to there was Pilut. The LA player was ineligible to move the puck.

Yup. Poor Pilut, who is new to the NHL, made the mistake of listening to the ref. His teammates were anticipating the play to be blown dead and then he touches the puck and rings it up the boards catching everyone off guard. The Kings subsequently score. That ref should be penalized by the league for not knowing the rules. That play should have been blown dead.

Getting the puck deep and forechecking. What unique concepts. This team is maddening.

It's not a penalty. There's nothing to call there. Just blow the whistle. The ref totally screwed that up.
