Yeah, the grocery store stuff is just a ton of tomato paste. -
Why would Scandella sit? He's on the opposite side and is having a good season so far.

This is what RK said he was going to do before the season started. He likes to leave lines together so that guys learn each other's habits and get comfortable with knowing where they are going to be on the ice. Less chemistry and more habit. -
Stealing this from Brawndo in the other thread "at some point this season" could be February/March. So maybe this thing isn't particularly urgent. But the question still becomes: who sits when Montour comes back in a month?

I guess we could carry Bogo as a 7th D if we trade someone on that right side? Given the D pairs we've seen most recently: Dahlin - Joker McCabe - Risto/Montour Scandella - Miller Bogo Risto really looks like the odd man out here assuming Joker isn't going anywhere.
-
The problem with bogo, as miles notes, is his injury history. He played well last year, but how badly do we want to make room for him when he's a UFA at the end of this season? Do we really want to sacrifice some of this defensive depth just to give Bogo 40 games?

Yup. Knees generally aren't supposed to twist like that. ?

They have sooooo much to wrap up in one movie.

Saw it live and it broke my heart. I love Rantanen and I hope it's like Skinner in that game last year where it ended up being no big deal...

There's not a ton to compare between them except that I think both started strong and then fell apart at the end; but it's a proximity thing. Both made me sad in a relatively short period of time and now I connect them forever lol

TLJ felt the same to me that Wonder Woman did a few months earlier. Two movies I wanted to be good and left wondering what the hell I just watched. I'm not a huge comic book nerd or anything so I can't put it on my fandom that I didn't like WW, but both movies left me wanting in essentially the same way: that I felt like care hadn't been taken to make either one.

I think there are plenty of things from a filmmaking standpoint that I could point to that have nothing to do with it being a Star War. You could replace the entire universe, characters, and history with something completely different and TLJ as a movie still fails. It's just not entertaining. The plot is bad, the dialogue is bad, the pacing is bad. It's just a bad movie. I don't really mind the general outcome with respect to what is canon now in the SW universe, I'm open minded about that. But you have to at least make a good film if you're also going to take the characters and story in a bold direction.

I'm in the same place. I don't have a whole lot of faith given how much of a mess, objectively, TLJ was. It's got nothing to do with being a super fan or anything. Wanting a movie to have a plot that makes sense is totally reasonable lol

It's worth noting that the Skinner line is drawing massive amounts of d zone starts and is still producing.
-
oh boy
-
But which line was the real 3rd line?

Arizona will be an interesting case study as they catch up on games played.

These charts are so weird because there's such a gap in games played between teams right now. Some teams have played 10 games already, and some have only played 6. Oddly enough, the Atlantic division has the lowest amount of disparity in games played, a range of 7-9. Which probably makes it the only division worth comparing teams in right now.

Too many skate blades near guys heads in that clip for my tastes

Wood brings a ton of insight to the broadcast. Really makes listening to the game a lot more enjoyable.

That was too close for comfort.
