Bills football game tailgate. Been coming home for 1 game a year for last 20+. We were playing the NYJ in a Oct. game, like 15 yrs ago, and we always tailgated in one of the old farm lots off California Rd. when we were allowed to cross the creek and come up the back side of the stadium lot. Crappy Bflo fall day when a sudden snow/sleet front comes in. Always stayed after the game to wait for traffic to quiet down and continued to tailgate. Boys will be boys drunk, playing touch football, turns into push football and with alcohol eventually tackle. A lot of people did fires in that lot when crappy and cold and the lot was pretty thinned out. I just caught a long pass and was showboating what was touchdown when one of my nephews tackles me into what was some left over fire covered in a bit of snow but still a lot of hot coals going underneath. I get up and spike the ball talking trash and a couple of the other guys around yell your on fire while I'm acting like TO.. My buds proceeded to tackle me again and roll me on the ground while I peel off my outer jacket. Thank god for layers...so the bills lost and I lost a jacket, a couple months later a box comes in the mail, a friend memorialized a piece of my burnt jacket in a plaque from that game day, Coals 1, me 0.

Yep, although he is not getting the goals he is definitely playing ROR's role on his line and is directly responsible for the success of that line. I also think Larson, Bergland and Girg's is taking a bunch of that defensive responsibility as some other have said here as well. Specifically matching up against other teams top lines with a solid result. All and all i am really happy to have good hockey to watch from my favorite team...

Yeah I understand now why a bunch of posters here are saying send him to Amerks to play more. He needs work.

Yep, he has been playing a very Physical game for the last bunch of games and getting as good as giving. That's not easy to do with out some pain.

I gotta give columbus credit more than be down on the Sabres. Their forecheck we just don't look ready for. Playing scared again.

Well its some pretty good hockey both ways. Both teams pushing back and forth although Ullmark has had the harder/ better game so far. Tied though on the road late in 2nd and I am entertained.... lets go Bflo... Whatta a save...

They let Montreal do 3x as bad looking plays than that and never called a thing.

1,2,3, gimme more, I want 4... Lets go Buffalo. Can they do it on the road against another Heavy team, not sure with the bangs and bruises this team has. Montreal played a bit of a nasty game especially on Skinner, wonder if they were courting him and pissed he picked Buffalo, sure looked like they had an ax to grind with him. Well if anything we get to see how this team handles success right, feels odd but good saying that. Another step on the road to Respect, and i spell that WIN..

Yep that would be a good deal I would get behind as long as additional years are optional... I also like the idea of keeping that alumni connection going after they retire like a coach gig at the hockey school aka Gionta, Ellis...

Love ya GA and all you bring to the table but not ready for going back to the future where we all have been living for the last to many years, I want to enjoy a bit more of whats happening with the current cast of characters and what's going on this season before I vote anyone of the island... I love this 2 points out of first place, 3-2 road and 3-2 home records. Above .500 at home as it should be... I'm enjoying this while we can... Finished my drink and going to bed happy , relaxed and dreaming of a entertaining season of hockey after all these years of paying for Center Ice. Good night fellow sabrenauts

Yep i agree, of course we all had some anxious moments where we have seen this team disappear in the past not tonight, they just keep pluggin and really were the better team. With solid goal tending it would never have come to that nail biter finish which in the end was good for this team to keep learning how to never give up and win...

hahaha, yeah i need to get to bed early work day tomorrow but I need a drink after that
