Would be surprised if the Sabres make him skip time w/ his SEL team for the prospects tourney this year. Next year may be a different story.

Γstlund has said he expects to be in Sweden 2 more years. Has the development camp changed his mind?

Expectations for Dylan Cozens next year (2022-23)?
Taro T replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
Really expecting him to get comparable ice time to Mittelstadt, but with more of a defensive focus to his usage than Mitts. If Asplund ends up on his line, he's definitely getting defensive usage; if Rasmus the F ends up on Mitts line, expect the usage of the 2 isn't just comparable but essentially identical. Figure regardless of their W's that Mitts will have more points, but both will be big contributors. Don't see him sliding to W unless Okposo gets injured. -
Yes, for Levi, he'll be 21 when he signs which would get him a 2 yr ELC. But he'll burn the 1st year this year.

Thought about giving the crying reaction for this, but is is spot on, so went w/ the laugh instead. πΊ

Where do the Sabres Rank in terms of Prospect Pools post draft?

Again, the correct response to your original query was: No, we aren't. But carry on, π πΊ And if you have issues w/ what PA said, please feel free to take them up w/ him. π Would never attempt to speak for him. π -

To the bolded, no, actually was not offended. But am willing to let it drop & realize now, the following was the more appropriate path. No, we aren't. But carry on, π -
Where do the Sabres Rank in terms of Prospect Pools post draft?

Had mentioned that in a thread a couple of days ago that this is the 1st time since a path towards suffering was taken that this is very likely the 1st season post making that choice that all 20 opening day roster slots will be filled w/ NHLers (presuming Hinostroza, Bryson, & Anderson actually are NHLers; IMHO they are though not necessarily good/ideal). And there are still 3 months to add players that bump at least 1, and maybe more, out of their roster spot. So, to answer your question, yes. π -

Funny, by asking "are we really comparing ..." and throwing in "hell" to start another one of your points makes it appear that you ARE taking exception to something that wasn't even stated. And by stating out w/ your 1st sentence, it sure does appear that you are arguing against a point that wasn't made. Am not offended by your post at all. Merely trying to understand why you chose that OP to argue against as it did not make any claim explicit nor implicit that the pool from that era is as good as the current pool appears nor that the lack of substantial material success by the 4 players cited implies anything towards the chances of success nor lack thereof for the current prospect pool. -

Agree. Would further add that when a parent club is stocked w/ ACTUAL NHLers from top to bottom, having a strong prospect pool can ensure that the roster will stay stocked w/ actual NHLers in the future. Prior to the advent of video scouting, the Sabres consistently had strong prospect pools (even if they didn't necessarily have the absolute top prospects, they had a lot of them) and prior to the decision to tank, the Sabres consistently had competitive to strong teams. Movingnon from both of those poor decisions, we're at a point where having a strong prospect pool can actually matter again. Hallelujah! -

No idea what you're taking exception to. Eichel, Reinhart, & the "big 4" WERE the reason people has the Sabres prospect pool ranked highly during the Murray era. There is no doubt this prospect pool is more highly regarded & deeper that that one was as that 1 had 2 very high 1st rounders in it & then a handful of 2nd rounders. It could've been much deeper, but Murray went for the quick fix & traded at least 3 high picks & at least 6 highly regarded prospects. Adams hasn't done that & actually did the opposite trading much of his top line & pairing for prospects/picks. Please be so kind as to show where the point you are arguing against was actually made. πΊ PS - To answer your question, not particularly. Which brings back this post's original statement: no idea what you're taking exception to. π -

Fair enough. -
Well, speaking as one who was on board w/ splitting up Dahlin & Jokiharju long before it became popular and who had him in consideration as one of their best performing D when paired w/ Scandella, consider Henri to be an excellent 3rd pairing D and an adequate 2nd pairing D in a pinch. Expect he can still grow into a true 4/5 or maybe even a true 4. But at this point in time really dislike him as Power's partner because the idea of pairing a rookie w/ a vet (and on this roster, Henri's an elder statesman) is to have the vet cover for the rook's mistakes, not vice versa. 2nd pairing still faces the other team's top line reasonably often & Henri consistently isn't up to that task. He lets himself get taken out of the play and runs around when there's a good cycle going forcing other teammates out of position. (In that regard, he's reminiscent of Risto though nowhere near to the same level.) He has improved greatly at understanding when to pinch, so he has improved in areas and likely still will get better. Know that you're perfectly fine w/ him as Power's partner, but am really hoping that Lyubushkin who played w/ Reilly in TO jells with Owen as he plays the sort of style that will cover for rookie mistakes.

The bolded is true. But people were also pretty hopeful/excited about the "big 4" prospects - Bailey, Baptiste, Fascinating, & Carrier. And the only one that became a regular NHLer was lost in an expansion draft. He kept the guys that didn't pan out & like you said traded away/ lost the guys that became NHLers (Armia, Compfer, Lemieux, Carrier - that can't be the entire list, can it?). -
IF Granato runs a true checking line Ala the LOG line, he'll get a chance due to his size when Girgensons inevitably breaks. But if not, he might need them to get ~4-5 F's deep in injuries to get a chance.

If Anderson were replaced w/ a 30 yo like most backups*, that trims another 1/2 year off the average age. This team is really young. And if the ages were weighted by contribution / ice time expect it would skew even younger. [Edit: * - for teams w/ a young starter. Teams w/ older starters seem to have a younger backup. But either way, having a pair of goalies that doesn't include a 42 yo knocks 1/2 year off the team's average age.]

Cool beans.. Olofsson is likely the only one that arbitration would've worked out for. But it's still good to see that the players & agents expect they can work out a fair deal. -

And maybe he just told her that because she really desperately wants one & he was afraid she'd buy it before he had a chance to get it for her birthday; romantic that he is. π She made an exaggeration for a joke. It happens. -
IF he makes the team could see either Pilut or Power picking up the scraps of PP time that Dahlin doesn't command. If Pilut isn't dressed, those last 20 seconds become Owen's.

It was a Lance Lysowski tweet of something one of Davies' friends apparently posted. Was laughing at him having to "run" to Staples (per Lance) to sign his contract. He's played 20 some NHL games & 3 years of AHL hockey. Does anybody HONESTLY think the kid can't AFFORD a printer?
