i have to agree with you on campbell. a liability defensively? yes he is, but the offensive upside is a dimention that no other sabre d-man brings to the table. mckee is all d, kalinin, tallinder, lydman, and numminen are good in both aspects, but no one comes close to the offensive threat that cambpell presents. i could see him as a 7th d-man if another is acquired, but i'm comfortable with him back there if not.

what i think is extra special is that the two guys who sealed the deal are the future of this organiztion. vanek and miller got the job done when it was on the line. the sabres have a very bright future. B-)

i think i was only 7 or 8 when that happened but i remember those games like they happened yesterday. anyone remember the goal andreychuck scored against the bruins (i believe) where he's on his knees in a pile up in front and reaches pracitcally behind the net, pulls it out front and stuffs it home?

i live in north carolina, but a buddy of mine from college is in tampa and he has some hookups. all i know is i'm spending a few days in florida and getting to see my sabres. can't ask for more than that. B-)

I went to the Carolina and Florida game tonight in Raleigh, and man do the Canes look good. I knew they were in first, but they flat out dominated the game tonight. They really took advantage of the two-line pass, much more than any other team I've seen (on TV mind you). Should be a good one when they come to Buffalo.

I couldn't wait to listen to the game tonight, and now I can't get it. What a pain.

I've been trying for over half an hour to get the game online, through either the Sabres site or NHL, and can't get anything. NHL.com isn't even updating the fetching scoreboard.
