I know it is an NHL thing, but why can they disclose the injury in the NFL, but not the NHL?  Dumb.

This was started by Lindy Ruff in the playoffs 2006ish. I forgot who was injured at the time, but he didn’t want the other team targeting an area so he made up that term. Other teams quickly caught on. If the NHL doesn’t force them to disclose the exact nature of the injury, why would any team volunteer it?

You're an Oilers fan. You have the best player in the world and one of the greatest of all time. Are you happy with that haul? I'm not sure Dahlin and Power and Thompson would be enough. Can we get real in these trade scenarios?

I don’t think you can trade him and receive fair compensation. That’s too many bodies going one-way and only getting one back in return.

I said this a few times the past few weeks.  All those kids wont be ready until about 26-27.  We should of been signing decent veteran players on 2-3 contracts and develop a better culture and get to the playoffs.  The kids can then enter to an established team in 2-3 years and excel the way Bruins prospects do.  Benson has skills but he needs to add man strength to his body as does Savoie and the others. There were many players in FA that we could of signed and made a 96 point type team and at least start making the playoffs and fix the culture.

The phrase you’re looking for is “could have/could’ve,” not “could of.”

As a courtesy to the other board members, please use more descriptive topic titles. A single name if far too vague to post as a title and provides little insight into what specifically the post is talking about. The topic starter can edit the topic title line to make it more appropriate.

    Thank you.

No one on this team can take Hathaway. Maybe Greenway, but he doesn’t fight.  We have no match.

Oh no. We may not have had a match for an end of game scrum when it was 5 -1.  What are we gonna do? If we would’ve had someone to win that fight then maybe JJ Peterka wouldn’t miss that goal or throw that bad pass to the blue line or pass a puck in the someone’s skates every shift. Maybe power wouldn’t put it into the other team skates every shift. I would’ve solved a lot of hills if we could’ve just won that end of game fight.

No.  The thread title refers to the "92 point graph."  The graph on the front page, which actually is useful, as opposed to a 92 point graph, happens to be a "98 point graph."

Sorry! I read that wrong. I thought you were complaining about the 98 point choice. Carry-on…

Interesting:  only 3 points separates 2nd and 6th place in Atlantic Division.

What does this have to do with the graph that’s being asked about?

Minor nitpick.  The chart is for a 98 point pace, not a 92 point pace.  (98 would be just a smidge under a 0.600 pace.  And 0.600 has been in the playoffs every time but one which was in a season when all the established teams were in 1 division and all the expansion teams were in the other division.)

98 points was used per your suggestion last year. You’ll need to take it up with you.

Never understood why he was brought back after the end of last season.  DG clearly has lost faith in his game as a scorer and never has been someone that plays a two way or even tough to play against game.

KA has to bite the bullet and move him for anything he can get, especially if he is going to call up players from the AHL to play over him.

I think this has been discussed thoroughly. Quinn is injured.
