  1. Past hour
  2. Liger: Hey Siri, give me an example of recency bias... Siri: Okay, here's an example of recency bias.
  3. He could change it to Kevin Adyms, no one will ever know.
  4. Adding a D of all things to Adams is a Buridan's ass level setup, that I’ve got nothing for
  5. What if Kevyn changed his name? Then you could say Kevyn Adams is no longer GM. Kevyn Addams is.
  6. Not really. The franchise began in Syracuse (Smash), then moved to Ottawa (Rebel). They were named the Rush when they moved again to Edmonton before moving to Saskatoon. Saskatchewan Rush - Wikipedia https://share.google/Ol66o9298BMwob1GY
  7. Today
  8. Then, YES, a RESOUNDING 1000% YES, Adams can still get punted even after the Sabres take the playoff path of the Swamp Cats 2 years ago. (Sneak in because the backup goalie saved the day when the #1 was sick/had issues; and then lose a hard fought final.)
  9. I am trying my best here to renege on my plan and you are not helping lol There really are no more outs for me, are there
  10. The passivity is what has me off of O'Brien as well. Notably, I read/heard him best described as a reactive playmaker. A good playmaker, but overly patient and waiting for the defender to make the first move and then reacting to it, something that works with the juniors but will take time to unlearn against adults who will gladly take away your time and space. This system needs an influx of aggressors, agitators, and proactive players who force the game on the opponent.
  11. The ONLY way that happens if is the team is horrible out of the gate, there is a general purge at the end of October and then the team rises like the Phoenix. IF they bring in a PoHO or a "Senior Advisor" and Adams is still standing come Christmas; anything good that happens gets put in the "he finally figured it out" column in ownership's eyes. The FANBASE will give credit where it's due. But WE don't directly write the checks. (We just bankroll them.)
  12. And the Sabres voluntarily sent O'Reilly, Eichel, Reinhart, and Montour (among others) packing.
  13. Does anyone think there’s a chance, should we actually bring in a notable senior advisor, that even were we to make the playoffs this coming year, the credit would be more so given to the presence of the advisor, and we’d be thus protected from an Adams extension?
  14. If it works for you Pete... little far fetched... gonna be another long summer.
  15. The Joker conquered Batman. Apparently, you missed the memo.
  16. Because everything has to become about us. "What's the weather going to be like for Memorial Day weekend?" Crappy...like the Sabres and their owner. "Hey, the Bandits won a third title in a row!" Gee, I wonder what winning is like. The Sabres missed the playoffs for 14 years. "My condolences for the loss of your loved one" Well that's nothing compared to the Sabres 13-game losing streak!
  17. I had the idea awhile back. That Lorentz's killing of the bat launched a curse on the Sabres franchise. Bat people agree. https://www.wgrz.com/article/news/local/unknown-stories/buffalo-sabres-bat-game-anniversary/71-f80469c3-ed38-41e7-b75e-d179fa12e7a7#:~:text=for the rest-,of,-the game. The But their answer is not enough. Jim has to release a rehabbed bat at Canalside, on the ice as close as possible to where he slayed the original pesk. It's the only way. I am about to email these fellas and singlehandedly start us down the path of an inevitable championship.
  18. Over to you Verne, Adams on the 14th tee...
  19. Dahlin was MEAN at the WJCs. All he needed to be that way in the NHL was some strength. Which he now has.
  20. Passive is the right word. Dahlin wasn't passive in the SHL, he just learned how to apply his physical side. Imo, passive isn't just about hitting or physical play. It's about demanding the puck and doing stuff with it. It's why Martone and Frondell are players I don't care for. They don't demand the puck, they react or support more than imposing their will. Bear and Martin impose themselves.
  21. Even though he's unlikely to be available, I'd hope the Sabres pass on Martone if he is. The video confirms what little I saw at the U20's in that he's passive and doesn't use his size enough to be a power forward. We don't need another soft player in the locker room. One thing is he mentioned is that he still may develop the physicality. I'm curious... Has there been many cases of a big but passive player learning to be aggressive? Dahlin maybe comes to mind, but he wasn't exactly big when he came into the league.
  22. This thread is about watching Biff Tannen get the manure bath. Why does it have to be about anything more than that?
  23. I’m afraid his mulligans quota was reached and breached some time ago. Leino, Ehrhoff’s first season of contract (the player was fine), PLF, Murray, suffering, Rex Ryan, Rolston and Sabres U, Krueger, refusing to pay ROR a bonus, trading Eichel, EEE and axing a AHL and scouting staff to pay for a boat, Appert and Wilford still employed. GM searches and head coach searches of 0 interviews beyond Adams and Ruff. How many mulligans are you offering?
