So, wait. It's OK to refer to the University of Pittsburgh as Pitt but not OK to call the city of Pittsburgh Pitt? Pit, however, is good.

8, the answer so far has s 8.

The stats literally give you information about what happening on the ice.

During the drought, he was the one coach that actually had a winning record (9-7, but still) when he got fired.
- Today

I should have posted a pic of McD instead because my joke was completely over your head. Jauron and McDermott werenโt the first two coaches to tell us how hard it is to win. Coaches in every sport have uttered this at various times.

Any truth to the rumor that the Steelers will be filing elder abuse charges against the Bills' defense on Rogers' behalf?

You can get lost in stats, and stats guys will never agree, but it's what you see on the ice that really matters. You can see the differences clearly if you watch other games with better teams and what they do compared to what the Sabres do and don't do. That's the comparison for me.

Stats will never give you the answer. The difference between winning and losing always comes down to effort at key moment, discipline, good coaching decisions (and a good system), leadership to rise to the occasion, attention to detail so you don't make mistakes, and just the will to give it your all and get it done. None of that will show up in stats on zone time or shooting percentage or goals for or whatever. Those are just interesting overall assessments. What really matters is effort, and effort at key moments.

We need to get him under contract after this season.

I'd be good with Kozak on that 4th line taking the spot of Greenway. Kozak, Krebs, Malenstyn would be a good 4th line to me. I don't care who plays center or Wing. Krebs or Kozak, whatever. I'm surprised they are starting him on that top line. I would think being his first game back with live action, you give him 3rd line minutes +PP time. Once he gets used to the conditioning/speed of the actual game...after a game or two, move him up to the first line with the additional minutes then.

Nice.. thanks!

It's fair... Well, I don't know why they weren't throwing to their 6'7 311lb receiver/TE more. I thought Pittsburgh's offense lacked imagination and allowed Buffalo to actually step up to stop the run. There were mistakes by the Steelers offense as well, no doubt. I just wasn't impressed.. and yeah Rodgers has the cast but it doesn't hurt his throwing. Not complaining, just that the Bills have managed to puke all over themselves a few times this season. Beating the Steelers who are clearly much worse than I thought they were (I didn't think they were all that great) just doesn't get me all jazzed up. Sure they won, but they've got a long way to go.

Huh? The dude would punt from the other teams 35 if he had the chance. He coached not to lose rather than to win most games.
