PASabreFan
October 9, 1970 The Sabres purchase goaltender Dave Dryden from the Penguins on the day before they inaugurate the franchise with a game in, you guessed it, Pittsburgh. Dryden didn't play in the opener but tended goal for four seasons. In fact, before Dominik Hasek arrived on the scene, he owned the best save percentage in a season, .908, in 1972-73. PASabreFan
Brother. When they faced off eventually, I believe it was the first time brothers had faced each other in goal.

I'd say it was a Jean / Denis Potvin type deal. Dave was a few years older than Ken and a good but definitely non-spectacular goalie.

I joined the Air Force 21 years ago today! Yikes! Took one last drive around Delaware park and then took off for Texas! Wow
