Get your Zen on!

This year has been a real treat. With game 7 half a day away,

my mind is still and I am quietly glowing with pride.

If McKee is out - this is just to show the world something.

The Hockey Gods either want to humble Carolina for

some type of Hockey Sin - and have removed all our defensemen

to make a grand point - or - it is just not our time.

Be at peace. Logic is no longer useful.

Or as Lindy says: "Don't be afraid"

However this turns out, I think I'll be having a few extra beers tonight.

Catch the Zen.

I have been proud to share the ride with all of you.

And I have never been more proud to be a lifelong Sabres fan.

I am confident this team will give all they have tonight.

Beautifully said. It has been an amazing year, filled with euphoric moments. And the joy has been substantially increased by the great, knowledgeable hockey talk we've all been able to share on these boards.

Let's go Buffalo!

I am not ready for it to end!!! I am 6'3" 240lbs. I can't skate that well but I can stand in front of a 90mph slapshot (and probably die). I volunteer. I will play D tonight. Shoot me an email, Lindy if you are interested.

I am about 5-11 and 220lbs, I've skated before and can hold a hockey stick, and I'm Canadian, so thhere has to be some natural born hockey skills in me because of that. I'll suit up, and I'll even take the suspension for taking a swing at Staahl, or try to give weight a matching shiner with my stick

I've been a fan for 30 years and I don't think I've ever loved a Sabres team more than this one.

If McKee can't go, he can't go. If they go down to defeat there is no shame. Take away the top 4 defensemen on any team in this league and you really shouldn't expect to pull out a win, especially on the road in the playoffs.

But I feel the boys can do it. I think tonight is about going for goals. Let it all hang out and hope Miller is up to the task like he was against Ottawa.

The Sabres in my eyes are the true champs, even though that might not happen. Their heart, guts, desire is unmatched. I want them to win so badly for themselves, the city and ME, but if it isn't meant to be, so be it.

I am nervous. I feel crappy. I so so so want them to win. I have my fingers crossed. It's up to the boys now.

Let's just hope the refs don't try to spoil the party and let this game play out fairly. That's all we can ask for.

Good luck boys! I'm proud of you all!

Well according to TSN, Lindy has said McKee is out with an infection in his leg from a cut suffered earlier in the playoffs

All I want to know is WHO PISSED OFF THE HOCKEY GODS HERE?

I win Tonight will be amazing, and in my opinion gives Ruff the coach of the year trophy hands down.

When are you guys gonna' come around and become hockey atheists? Hell, the Greek gods of mythology were less cruel than any invisible pink unicorn that Gary Bettman (probably) thinks speaks directly to him.

Thanks X... That is exactly where I have been since the start of the Ottawa series!

I will post it again... It is so true:

We are the smallest of the small, the "piglets" in this league... I hope you are reading Sabres' forwards! Find inspiration you will!

It is fitting that for centuries Taoists have been associated with magic, as Taoism is, on one level or another, a form of magic, a very practical form, perhaps, but magic all the same. Here we will briefly describe two secrets of that magic, two principles of Taoist transformation that may prove useful in the coming years. The first is Turn the Negative into Positive. The second is Attract Positive with Positive. Unlike some other Taoist secrets, there is little danger of these principles falling into the Wrong Hands; because in the wrong hands, they won't work. We might add that they work best for Piglets.

Turn the Negative into Positive is a principle well known in the Taoist martial arts. Using it for self-defense, you turn your attacker's power to your benefit by deflecting it back at him. In effect, he swings his fist and hits himself in the face. And after a while, if he has any intelligence at all, he stops and leaves you alone. Transforming negative into positive, you work with whatever comes your way. If others throw bricks at you, build a house. If they throw tomatoes, start a vegetable stand.

You can often change a situation simply by changing your attitude toward it. For example, a Traffic Jam can be turned into an Opportunity to Think, or Converse, or Read or Write a Letter. When we give up our images of self-importance and our ideas of what should be, we can help things become what they need to be.

Exactly what I was gonna reply until I read through...

There is no other fan that I would want to be now with all that is playing out, other than a Sabre fan!

No need finding blame among anybody... Things are playing out as they should.

Be at peace everybody.

Green Book of Meditations Volume 3, Oriental and Monotheist Wisdom

A man noticed that his axe was missing. Then he saw the

neighbor's son pass by. The boy looked like a thief, walked like

a thief, behaved like a thief. Later that day, the man found his

axe where he had left it the day before. The next time he saw the

neighbor's son, the boy looked, walked, and behaved like an

honest, ordinary boy.

There was once a stonecutter, who was dissatisfied with

himself and his position in life.

"One day, he passed a wealthy merchant's house, and

through the open gateway, saw many fine possessions and

important visitors. "How powerful that merchant must be"

thought the stonecutter. He became very envious, and wished

that he could be like the merchant. Then he would no longer

have to live the life of a mere stonecutter.

To his great surprise, he suddenly became the merchant,

enjoying more luxuries and power than he had ever dreamed of,

envied and detested by those less wealthy than himself. But soon

a high official passed by, carried in a sedan chair, accompanied

by attendants, and escorted by soldiers beating gongs. Everyone,

no matter how wealthy, had to bow low before the procession.

"How powerful that official is" he thought. "I wish that I could

be a high official!"

Then he became the high official, carried everywhere in

his embroidered sedan chair, feared and hated by the people all

around, who had to bow down before him as he passed. It was a

hot summer day, and the official felt very uncomfortable in the

sticky sedan chair. He looked up at the sun. It shone proudly in

the sky, unaffected by his presence. "How powerful the sun is"

he thought. "I wish that I could be the sun!"'

Then he became the sun, shining fiercely down on

everyone, scorching the fields, cursed by the farmers and

laborers. But a huge black cloud moved between him and the

earth, so that his light could no longer shine on everything below.

"How powerful that storm cloud is!" he thought. "I wish that I

could be a cloud!"

Then he became the cloud, flooding the fields and villages,

shouted at by everyone. But soon he found that he was being

pushed away by some great force, and realized that it was the

wind. "How powerful it is!" he thought. "I wish that I could be,

the wind!"

Then he became the wind, blowing tiles off the roofs of

houses, uprooting trees, hated and feared by all below him. But

after a while, he ran up against something that would not move,

no matter how forcefully he blew against its huge, towering

stone. "How powerful that stone is!" he thought. I wish that I

could be a stone!" Then he became the stone, more powerful

than anything else on earth. But as he stood there, he heard the

sound of a hammer pounding a chisel into the solid rock, and

felt himself being changed. "What could be more powerful than

I, the stone?" he thought. He looked down and saw far below

him the figure of a stonecutter.

Strangely enough, I am not afraid. I want to win this game so badly -- but yet I am not tense or bitter about the latest setback. If McKee is out -- so be it. I believe in the guys in that locker room. They are good enough to win this game tonight, they want it even more than I do, they aren't afraid either and they NEVER quit.

Go Sabres.

So, are you saying that this McKee thing is yet another sacrificial offering by Ruff to the hockey Gods for "one more win?"

Let's cross our fingers and hope....

man, another 5 1/2 hours yet....

None of us are sure if this offering was to win game 6 or 7?

We will soon find out.
