Think the guy deserves a thread at this point. 

Is he "The Guy" long term? Way too early to tell, but there's a lot to like about him in the few games we've now seen...

  • Good positioning
  • Moves reasonably well laterally
  • Seems to have pretty quick reflexes
  • Strong rebound control
  • Plays aggressively, but not overly so
  • Doesn't seem to get rattled and/or intimidated
  • The team seems to have confidence in him in net and I think it shows in their play in front of him

I'm not saying he's the next Hasek or Miller by any stretch, but he's shown enough to me that he should be our guy until he gives a reason not to be. 

Maybe he's the Sabres' Doug Flutie...just hopefully with a longer shelf life.

They won’t know if they don’t give him a run. 
 

I would let him have the net for a while here. We know what Lyon is. See what the kid can do

I would end the UPL era. Move him out.
