Kevin Adams needs to lose his job and nothing is going to stop people from wanting that. The entire team can be injured and it doesn't matter. Edited 9 hours ago by Demoted Quote

It's time to end it. Kev resigns. Lindy resigns. Jarmo interim GM. Mike Leone interim HC. Get rid of as many as the assistants you can. Bring up most of the Amerks staff. I personally don't care or want to hear from Terry. There is nothing he can say that would make people happy. Is he disappointed? Don't care. Fix it by hiring the right people and let them speak for you. 1 1 Quote
DarthEbriate Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago What are they up to in man-games lost now? 79 in 16? Carson Meyer is back! (in Rochester) Quote

It'll be a veiled we can't blame injuries but............. sort of thing. A reason is a justifiable explanation for an outcome. An excuse is an unjustifiable reason. Injuries are real. The question we need to debate is whether the players being lost to injury would change the outcomes of the results on the ice. In other words, do the injuries justify the losses? If we believe they do, then it's a reason and we should accept that the CURRENT situation is an outcome of the injuries. Now, the OVERALL situation and a discussion on Kevyn Adams as a GM.. that's another story. He's hopeless and even if the injuries are seen as a reason for the outcome I would still argue that the team isn't where it needs to be and hasn't been. Quote
John Tucker Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago I actually forgot Danforth and Norris were part of this team. Not that it really matters anyway Quote

It'll be a veiled we can't blame injuries but............. sort of thing. The Sabres do have injuries, but they are made worse because Adams has built a roster of costly non-contributors, who have not stepped up. Adams signed an injury-prone Greenway to a $4M extension this past offseason. Greenway has been injured more than half the year (surprise) and has no goals in the games he's played. He signed Quinn to a $3M+ contract this offseason. Quinn has 1 point the last 5 games. He signed Byram to a $6M+ contract this offseason. Byram's defensive play has been subpar. Krebs was a key component in the Eichel trade. He has no goals this season, and only 3 points in 16 games. Kesselring, a key part of the Peterka trade, has no points in 7 games. Adams traded for Norris, who's injury history should be written on a literal red flag. Unsurprisingly Norris has only played 2 periods this year. He costs almost $8M against the cap. Adams extended UPL for almost $5M per year. UPL is being outplayed by a rookie and journeyman. Tuch, Thompson, and Power need to step up, but the team is also weighed down by the almost $25M of cap space Adams has wasted on non-contributing roster additions. There are no excuses for Adams.
