JoeSchmoe Posted March 3 Report Share Posted March 3 I'll admit I use the Moneypuck stats quite a bit. Tonight it says we had 2.645 expected goals for. That is ridiculously low IMO. We had sooooo many golden chances... That's how we got 7 GF. I'd say we should have at least been 4 xGF. I get that not all our shot attempts got through and/or we missed the net, but we were buzzing all night. Stats nerds... Any thoughts? Skinner's goal from the high slot is usually saved; Power's goal from the point should have been saved. That's the first time this decade Girgs looked like a sniper. Two goals were legit: The first Cozens goal (clean breakaway) and the Mitts goal (pp with a screen). There have been games where the Sabres were unlucky on shots to the net. This was not one of them.
