Some points made: The top 25 richest Americans paid an average of 15.8% income tax. Thats lower than the rate if you made $45k last year. Bezos, Bloomberg, Buffet, Soros, Musk have all managed to pay 0 income taxes at times. The article is a long read, and they’ve put out other articles in this series, discussing how the sliding scale for income tax just stops working at the top. LGR4GM Posted June 14, 2021 Report Share Posted June 14, 2021 I saw this last week and was not surprised. We've watched the country slowly deteriorate all well the wealth gap increases and the poor get less and less. Eventually all the wealth goes to the top because that's how the system is designed. It's all about a US tax code that has been designed to make sure the less wealthy pay taxes while the rich pay less because they are "job creators". Which is some insane twisting logic.
