To me, it looked like Pommer tripped the Leafs player, then turned quickly without looking to get back as fast as possible and ran smack into a pretty stationary Phaneuf. It was more like a big guy giving a smaller player a "look where the f**k you are going" hit. Borderline interference, maybe, but that's about it. Yep. Thst'd how I saw it too. thesportsbuff Posted February 6, 2011 Report Share Posted February 6, 2011 I thought Morrisson's hit late in the Pittsburgh game was maybe a head shot and might be looked at by the league, but that was only my first impression and I never saw a replay. So I guess it wasn't as bad as I thought. As for the Phaneuf hit, Pommer skated smack dab into him, still looked like an elbow to the head though.
