  1. I'm expecting not-bottom-five (20ish point improvement). I'm hoping for just above bottom ten (30ish point improvement). The challenge is that it's an improvement in goal differential by +70 to +100. And that's a lot.
  2. Troof. If we clench (sic) the bottom spot, we can officially start cheering for the team again. I'd like that.
  3. Kovalchuk, who retired to the KHL to be closer to his family and ended up receiving the K's richest contract, is considering a return to the NHL, as the value of the ruble slips due to economic sanctions against Russia. http://www.tsn.ca/report-kovalchuk-eyeing-nhl-return-1.238308 Side effect: I wonder that will encourage more players to play/stay in NHL.

  5. I would likely burn something. Maybe a Bruins fan.
  6. That Aud Smell.

  8. It should be noted that I'm not attending any more games this year, so how I conduct myself isn't of any consequence. That said, we'd most likely be on similar paths.
  9. This is an account of how far I've been willing to go. Nothing has changed in the past year. I believe we need to burn it all down to build it back up. The odds of drafting first or second overall -one of two players that have been called generational talents- drop from 100% to 33.5% when we finish 29th instead of 30th. To finish 29th presents an unacceptable risk to me. It's clear from the charts that Arizona and Edmonton are challenging our attempt to tank at an unprecedented level. I dearly wish to not be by either of them after all that we as a fan base have had to endure. With that generational talent, losses now mean wins later and longer. I will never tell other fans how to cheer, especially fans that pay hard-earned money for tickets. But be warned, I expect fair treatment. For me, it's time to start cheering for the tank again.
  10. We all know this isn't the case.

  12. This. Never let EA Sports simulate a big game in franchise mode. You play that one out and you do what you gotta do.
  13. Yeah. With Ennis out, our number one center is Cody Hodgson. He has 12 points on the season. Centers number 2-4? Varone, Grigorenko, and Schaller. 16 career NHL points combined.
  14. To make it less obvious. Obviously.
  15. If he's out, then five of the top seven point scorers won't be on the team tonight. Foligno, Deslauriers, and Zadorov will be tied for third on the team in points. I struggle to see Buffalo win this one, regardless of effort level, which is probably a good thing.
  16. It's true, only 10 more games of pure suffering. Then approximately 164 games of partial suffering before ~980 games of raging bliss. As long as we finish 30th now, we'll have something to watch for the next few years at least.
  17. Lindy's doing the Stars a solid too: they've slipped to 8 points out of the wildcard spot and Lehtonen needs to clench hard.
  18. Who's that team that nobody circles the wagons like?
  19. Our new Bills are cheeky and fun. The old Bills are cruel and tragic... which makes them not Bills, at all, really. Weee little Bills.
