What I am now curious about is how Carolina plays the 3rd. My suspicion is that Rod B. wants his team to play just as hard in the 3rd and take it to the Sabres....vs. doing what I cannot stand, which is a prevent defense style....we'll see I guess.

Yes.....and how LONG has this franchise been a soft team.....seems like about two decades going on 3 now. I simply don't understand why the Buffalo Sabres are perpetually the Buffalo "Wimps". I'm not talking about goon hockey, but simply a collection of more than just one or two players who regularly play a heavy game and not afraid to defend their teammates. 3-0 now....way to go team!!!

We have an AHL caliber coaching staff. With the exception of Benson, I cannot think of a single player who I thought had a decent 1st period out there.

With GMKA, it's always too little, too late. He'll maybe get a chance for another coaching hire before he himself is gone, but by then what year will that be?!?!

Missed tonight's game, but sounds like I didn't miss much. That said, I have no confidence GMKA will do his job and make changes.
