  1. Good shift for Canada!
  2. Yes, I believe you are correct. Funny thing is, so is Spencer Knight, the keeper for Team USA as well (Florida).
  3. Generally agree, but some slightly different takes. Watched Quinn closely too and in general thought he had a stronger game against Finland, but so did most of the team. I wondered if he was moved off of Byfield's line late in the game. I actually thought Perfetti had a better game tonight than his previous one, but agree with you that Buffalo did the right thing to pass on him. One player I have grown to really like is Peyton Krebs....that kid is relentless!
  4. Yes....and has really good wheels as well. Having a LH shot D with speed is something we can use more of.
  5. It will be interesting to see how the Cozens vs. Zegras careers evolve. I was torn back in 2019 on which player to take when our pick was up. I liked both, but today I LOVE Cozen's overall game despite Zegras' high skill.
  6. This! Keeping Hall here is not going to happen with KO's and Skinner's contracts. Unless GM KA can pull off a deal to trade KO's salary for another player on an expiring contract, but not likely. I am hopeful that we will want to hang on to Skinner based on a rebound season for him.
  7. Many favorites, but I'll add another name....Tom Barrasso. Talented netminder plus brought an edge to his game that I felt was a nice addition to the team. I liked having a Sabres goalie who could take care of business by himself in his crease. I remember we used to call him "Billy" Barrasso....reminded me of a bigger and younger Billy Smith.
  8. Hire a proven special teams asst. coach to fix the PP and PK.
  9. Ugh...I fear Holtz may be this year's Joel Armia. We need more Center talent! Holtz is fine for a team already stocked with an abundance of playmaking talent, we need somebody who can carry a line and feed the likes of a Holtz-type player. Holtz write-up from Elite Prospects: "His shot is as good as it gets, and it makes him a threat to score from anywhere in the offensive zone. Holtz is a pure sniper as currently constructed, and he has the potential to be a first-line finisher with triggerman utility on the power play. He's a special, special talent, and if he can refine that talent, then there's no telling where it might take him." Back to 2011 and MyNHLDraft: "Joel Armia is a budding power forward already playing in the Finnish Elite League at 17 years old. 6'2, 185 lbs, Armia has an incredible shot and uses his size to his advantage on the cycle. Already drawing comparisons to Finnish great Teemu Selanne, Armia possesses a similar scoring touch, though not to the same degree. Although he underwhelmed during the World Junior Championship, the Finnish team collectively flamed out during the metal round. Though he is one of the top offensive players in the draft, Armia may not go straight to the NHL, as his defensive game needs rounding out. Armia projects to go in the from any where inside to top 10-the a pick in the mid teens."
  10. Hope this is not the case, but have a feeling that both Rossi and Perfetti are gone before #8.
  11. Unfortunately IMHO it is bust no matter what the position is. He will always be a boy trying to play in a man's league. He would do much better over in Europe for a career.
  12. Had to listen to this on delay. Feels like there is not an adult in the room anywhere in the organization. Seems like they're hung up more on communication than experience, knowledge and a proven track record. They are clueless! Nice job people...now you improve every aspect of being able to communicate "WE SUCK" so that every person in the "flat" organization understands this. Tired of the learn-on-the-job culture of this organization...for the owners, GM's, coaches, etc. Maybe I'll save some bucks and cancel my NHL Center Ice package next season.
  13. The Pegula's should have this presser routine down pretty well by now. They can just dust off the script used for Housley, Botterill (hiring), GMTM, Bylsma, Brandon, Regier, Ruff, Nolan, etc.
  14. Kim Pegula needs to watch "The Opposite" episode from season 5 of Seinfeld. Like George Costanza, whatever hockey savvy she thinks she has (bought)....she needs to do the exact opposite. By doing the opposite of what she thinks is the best thing may finally right the ship vs. rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic with Adams. Adams next role should have been as an Assistant GM, he is not qualified to lead and is in over his head. As James T. Kirk said to Kahn, "I (the rest of the NHL) is laughing at the superior intellect" (of Kim Pegula)
  15. Perhaps he might develop like Brayden McNabb???
  16. Which is a good reason to replace the regime with new management that targets different kind of prospect talent.
  17. Ralph should be fired for hardly playing Kahun. He's been one of the more productive players and deserved ice time....I'm ready to move on from Ralph's version of "blah-blah-blah". I'll gladly take the risk of another GM and HC.
  18. They need to take off those 50th anniversary jerseys and wear the cheap Chinese fake ones....as they are imitating a real NHL hockey team.
  19. The first line just isn't getting it done....what the hell Ralph, try some different combinations please! What are you waiting for.....training camp?!?!
  20. I'd like to see Angry Rasmus Dahlin vs. what looks like the comatose version tonight.
  21. Dahlin not looking sharp tonight
  22. Kahun....move him to center.
  23. Maybe Ralph should pull the goalie on this PK. Why not...since there's a 50-50 chance they'll score even if we leave JJ in there.
  24. Great job by JBOT to bring these guys into our organization. Must have been worried that he didn't have enough bodies to ensure that nobody stole the empty chairs from the press box.
  25. I'm appalled by his below average power play and bottom-dwelling penalty kill coaching. I'll take a Gallant or Laviolette please.
