I think Mitts is back next year. Better numbers (points and +/-). He's just half the cost of Victor and is also an RFA after next season. If Victor is still around next season, maybe he is a trade deadline move.

Strongly disagree with you on Z. IMHO - Z has had a very effective season, playing a style that our young guns do not have. Z is hard to play against and I'm not looking for a lot of point production, but rather somebody who willingly goes into the hard places and puts pressure on the opposition.

To our opposition, Girgs is hard to play against. He sticks his nose in places that other players on our team avoid. Absolutely he is valuable and his style will not often reflect in goals and assists. IMHO our team would be better if more of his teammates would mimic his style vs. spin away from contact.

2016 was not a great result for GMTM. Nylander never blossomed like his brother (the trade for Joki is a better outcome, but I'd rather we took McAvoy). Asplund never blossomed either. Cliff Pu got us Jeff Skinner. Hagl was drafted, but never played for Buffalo. Brett Murray may be a career minor leaguer, etc.

The problem for me is that I don't even know the ref's anymore....who's fair, who's garbage. That plus you never hear their names during the game. Flood gates now open thanks to a garbage call changing the flow of the game.

For once I'd really like to see Granato really give it to the officials....not just yell, but maybe even go too far and piss them off!
