Not happy.....so who's left that's out there that can improve our defense? I'm not including Karlsson, but is there anybody else who can help us defensively if GMKA takes his head out of his a$$?

Chychrun is the first thought I had as well (Detroit that is....is Steve Y trying to upgrade his D with Chychrun).

To anybody with a better eye than mine....how is Quinn's skating compared to say a Sam Reinhart? Not trying to make any points, just curious if his skating is better, worse or the same.

We're in trouble....tough games ahead and no Tuch.

By contrast....Ottawa was on the outside looking in. They have a critical 2 games against the Wings at home on consecutive nights. Their season may depend on the 2 games against the Wings. Fast forward to tonight....they slaughtered the "hot" wings last night and are cleaning their clocks again tonight. This is a good example of a team playing with desperation at home....meanwhile in Buffalo....yawn.

The only possible silver lining in this fiasco it that GMKA may no longer be delusional about this team, meaning he can't stand pat and expect to make the playoffs this year. Part of this is the lack of on ice personnel, but part of it is also the failure of coaching to get the players to stick to the basics in defending and shooting the puck.

They're dangerous and will be heard from before this regular season is over.

I'm growing weary of the same mistakes being made repeatedly....they aren't learning from them. Power should have never left the front to go after a player behind the line. Whichever coach who is responsible for our defense is not getting the job done. It's pee-wee hockey basics.

Power and Joki letting the Blue Jacket mosey right up the slot to shoot....our defense is really out to lunch tonight.

The boys need to play like this is the 3rd period....I'd like to see a little more desperation.

Ugh frustrating...is there nobody in Rochester who can be more effective than Bryson? I'm not talking Pilut either.

"The crowd activates"......what the heck is that supposed to mean (the announcer trying to be clever)?!?! Why not just say the crowd liked Vinny's hit.

While I agree with you that we need more tougher defensive minded forwards, I do feel that Bryson is simply bad. He's a minus-18 with no other defenseman even close (Boosh is -1 I believe, Clague is an even 0 +/-. Plus minus can be misleading sometimes, but I don't think it is here with respect to Bryson. Granted Stillman is a minus as well, but he's not alone on the Canucks. Therefore, I maintain hope he can be an improvement vs. Bryson.

Something maybe a bit interesting....his dad Cory Stillman is an asst. coach with the COYOTES! Maybe a move to get him on his dad's team?!?! Anyway, some fight night links:
