  1. It was fun.
  2. Well that's a different point than the one you made initially upthread -- that Lawrence has become what critics said Allen would be. I also don't think the point immediately above is accurate. Lawrence was widely regarded as an elite pro prospect. Just by way of example, Mel Kiper said he'd only ever rated a few QB prospects higher than Lawrence (the one that sticks out is Andrew Luck).
  3. If current trends mostly hold, Allen is going to get Joe Brady a HC gig for the 2025 season. We were walking up Abbott to the stadium last night. And there was a dude ahead of us in a teal Lawrence jersey who had actual hair similar to Lawrence's -- just think more along the lines of 40 year old dude who's a regular at Jacksonville's most popular strip clubs. As we caught sight of him, my kid says with expert timing: "Trevor! Why aren't you at the stadium yet?" Gave me such a chuckle.
  4. Trevor Lawrence is a below average game manager. I'm not sure what critics thought Josh Allen would be, but I think it was more in the nature of a guy who would do some crazy sh1t but would not be consistent enough to be a good NFL QB. Like a more athletic Jeff George maybe.
  5. Hasn't there been enough of a sample size for the Jags to conclude that Trevor Lawrence is sorta as.s? Bully for Damar for getting that INT -- but holy jeebus. Dude on the PA sound board would have won an NFL in-game fan experience trophy if he'd cued up Styx "Come Sail Away."
  6. lol. i remember a time when this line of thought was essentially a consensus among fans. not anymore. not for me. get yo bag, swayman. and f*ck the jacobs family.
  7. lol. i liked the year where all nfl caps had insanely small logos on them -- the 49ers especially -- you needed some sort of scoping device (micro? tele?) to make out what was on shanahan's cap.
  8. Oilers have hired Zack Kassian as a scout. So, the Concept of Kassian will be out there developing Concepts of his own regarding prospects and other pro personnel. https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/edmonton-oilers-add-zack-kassian-as-pro-scout-1.2177498
  9. he calls a really nice game. and i bet he’d get better with reps.
  10. This is hard to argue against. But, man. Perreault’s galloping athleticism is giving me some pause.
  11. Amen, amen. We’re STHers because of 17. We feel fortunate to be in the stadium to see the stuff he does. But what about the Super Bowl blah blah blah? I don’t get bogged down in that. It’s a losing proposition. Josh Allen is fun.
  12. I enjoy her photographs. I don’t like this Tweet. That’s more on me than anything, though. My heart’s become too hardened to enjoy such Sabre silliness.
  13. Yeah, and it's both, for me. And probably more. Here's hoping the good vibes can mostly keep rolling.
  14. I'll take what I can get. Watching and listening to elder Lindy do the Q&A at a press conference makes me happy.
  15. Fair. I also forgot that they traded Judon.
  16. And this post is effing aces.
  17. Also initially read this as saying that B0ner was out there wearing a Sabres #11.
  18. B0ner?
  19. may it be so.
  20. Which strikes me as odd. That's a good defence. Or, it was last time I checked.
  21. Like most thoughtful fans of pro sports, I hate tired clichés. However, the old saw of "the NFL is a week to week league" is frickin' true. So the fact that the Patriots edged the Bengals, took the Seahawks to OT, and then got trounced by the Jets means ... well, it means that the Pats are 1-2. All that means little when it comes to Week 4.
  22. Kim Pegula's widely known backstory is that she was abandoned by her birth parents as a baby (or toddler, depending on which account you read), left on the streets of Seoul (or left in front of a police station, depending on which account you read), sent to a Korean orphanage, and then adopted by the Kerrs when she was 5 years old. Prior to her debilitating medical event, Kim said in interviews that she has no memories of her life prior to coming to the United States (although she also expressed confidence that there was nothing traumatic about her life in South Korea). This new AP report raises all kinds of questions regarding the west's history of arranging foreign-born adoptions from South Korea. I mean: Holy sh1tballs. https://apnews.com/article/south-korean-adoptions-investigation-united-states-europe-67d6bb03fddede7dcca199c2e3cd486e#
