  1. Good points -- and amen to what you're proposing. Perhaps they will. I heard that the NFL is looking to have the draft covered like a presidential debate event -- by all networks?! So weird.
  2. This is the time of year when the mockers get into the business of over-thinking things or getting into fantastical thoughts. If history is a guide and the current trajectory of the league any indication, there will be 6 QBs gone faster than you can say Jack Robinson. The Bills are gonna hafta move up, way up, to get the guy they want. My sense is that the only reason they wouldn't make the move is if they don't have a "willing" partner. And by "willing" partner I exclude a team that wants an absolute king's ransom.
  3. Saw “Morrissey” and “telephone,” and was momentarily confused and then reminded of the 80s urban legend (standq-up bit?) that *Robert Smith* of The Cure (or was it Morrissey?!) had a payphone (?!) installed in his home that didn’t ring, and whenever he felt like ... *talking*, he’d just pick up the receiver and share his sadness.
  4. Didn’t someone already show up here to advise against feeding trolls? Dude’s name IRL might be Trolly McTrollFace.
  5. Honestly. I saw that WKBW won for its local tornado coverage. Lord. #shillnchz
  6. Fair deuce. I’m harkening to some old theatre vocal warmups: “I am a mother pheasant plucker. I pluck mother pheasants. I am the pleasantest mother pheasant plucker that ever plucked a mother pheasant.”
  7. Tough but fair.
  8. Sorry. I don’t generally play those reindeer games. I’ll bet you 50 internet points. Perfectly stated, imo.
  9. I may need to take a break, and reflect on how I feel about Taylor as a QB. I dunno. I’m confident I don’t dislike him because he’s not a prototypical dropbacl passer. His limitations and shortcomings eventually made me nuts, and maybe that Jags playoff game distilled it for me. (I always admired him for being a consummate professional, good teammate, good guy in the community, and so on.)
  10. Taylor is a capable NFL quarterback? K.
  11. Taylor’s name has come up because it’s being implied here that his departure signified the loss of a capable NFL passer.
  12. So did Taylor.
  13. The fervor with which some cling to Taylor is a little Stockholm-ish.
  14. They also game plan relative to his limitations as a a passer. I bet it’s a wash.
  15. That first piece is precisely my view of the matter. That second piece is also spot-on. Remember that insane run of turnovers? The 2017 Bills were a 6-8 win team. It was glorious fun that they got 9 wins and snuck into the playoffs. Also, not for nothing, they’d have probably beat the Jags that day if they had even slightly better quarterbacking.
  16. I’d lay even odds that AJ McCarron can yield the same net QB impact as Taylor. Which isn’t even saying enough to be damning with faint praise.
  17. Entering his age 30 season. He had a big year with SF 2 seasons ago. He improves the WR corps, which is still probably the worst in the league (?).
  18. He’s ... a guy. Ain’t he old? (Edit: Not really.)
  19. They do some stuff well (?). Was that video game simulation farmed out? Didn’t Kim hire her brother into a significant creative position?
  20. I’ll add my voice to emphasize: It isn’t that PSE used chatsnap lexicon to communicate. It’s that PSE tried to use that lexicon to communicate, and failed miserably.
  21. Burn it. Burn it all. Burn it to the ground.
  22. Incognito can eff off.
  23. Came here for ROR talk. Found E. Kane, parallel universes, and angels on the head of a pin.
