I don't know Boston's cap situation but would think need to go 4 years and in the $2.5-$3 million per season area which low end starting goalie money and cost the Sabres a 2nd rounder to acquire him.

Joker should be on the 3rd pairing with Johnson this year, to me the biggest question mark on D is Samuelsson, personally I'm not a big fan, never have been to be honest.

That's why most fans are asking you to get a better goalie than we have in UPL or Comrie, not just sign a "just a guy "veteran.

I'm advocating for Hart as think he our best option at this point based on current contract and ability to keep or kick dependent on performance of him and/or Levi. That said it's probably a waste of time as don't expect Adams to trade for him.

Agreed but I want him around here for 3-4 seasons, as think Levi won't be ready this year to take the job and prefer an even split next year at most.

True, if were able to sign Hart to a bridge deal for 2-3 more seasons than I'd upgrade the pick to 1st.

As of today my pairings on D would be Dahlin Samuelsson (not a fan of Mattias this high tbh) Power Clifton Johnson Jokiharju Lyubushkin and Stillman for depth.

I mentioned in an early thread I'd move Comrie, a Russian prospect and a 2nd or 3rd to get it done.

It seems that Briere wants to get two 1sts to acquire Hart which most agree way too much.

I like JJP as much as anybody but VO to me a better goal scorer at this point of their careers, and in terms of lack of defense JJP isn't a two way player yet either.

As long as we have VO, JJP should be on the third line.

Limited supply TBH, I'd love to make a move for a more proven guy but GMKA loves holding on to his prospects/draft picks.

How many 1st overall picks do we need on this roster? Personally, I wouldn't want him as to me he's a 3rd liner at best. His GAA and Save percentage are about the same to what Levi's were for us.

I could see one 1st but yes, two a bit excessive.

Asking Levi to start 50 or more next season to me seems to be questionable, I mean he might excel but at what cost? Maybe it's old school thinking but most goalies take a year or two to develop before they're fully NHL ready.

With Quinn hurt not now but at the trade deadline I could see it if need a better player.

I mentioned it in the starting goalie. I'd go after Carter Hart to start if the asking price isn't too much. I mentioned Comrie, a Russian prospect and 2nd or 3rd. It might be more than value but Hart is still young and a RFA after the season so at very least can have and his rights for two or more seasons while Levi develops. I'd see Hart start 40-50 games, Levi 20-30 and UPL whatever's left or an injury replacement.
