I am sure this has been covered on this board, but.... How can this organization justify having Rob Ray be an analyst? As a player he couldn't skate, score, pass, win faceoffs, wasn't on the power play, penalty kill. He was an 8 minute per game forward & a fighter. What intellectual input does he add as a former player to mildly educate us about the nuances of the game or critique of it? What makes it worse is he talks too much too. It's a poor reflection on the organization. His comments some times are galactically stupid. We were so spoiled with Jim Lorentz.

I know it's winter time in Canada, but as long as an "Avalanche" doesn't hit in the 3rd period, the Sabre's should be ok. 😏

@JohnC No, no issues with mods, almost perfect record on TBD, some mods are very strict there, but probably necessary for all the things they probably read. I keep my posts light and humorous when I can. I'm not into arguing and definitely no name calling. The same thing happened for TBD years back. I couldn't get in until I moved to Idaho. I wonder if it was something with the ISP. P.S. You stated the standard isn't very high here, should I consider name calling to lower to that standard?? 😅 Anyways, good to be here! I have read the GDT thread for years after the game is over the next day. The transition of optimism to disparity in a matter of 15-20 pages is hilarious as well as sad. I can't imagine any fan base wittier than Buffalo sports fans. Keep it up!

For the record Pt. II.. I hate the shootout! It gave the goalies so much practice on breakaways, it took away the excitement of regular game breakaways almost uneventful because the goalies had so much live action in OT shootouts..

For the record, I hate 3 on 3! It's slow, leaving the zone, rarely a forecheck, no screens etc ...

I don't understand the fascination with the 100+ mph shot.. It's like a 450' foul ball, it's foul. If it's a goal, great, highlight it. If not, it's just a shot on goal.

Long time lurker, 1st time poster 🙂 My doctor said my health is great, I could use a little aggravation & unhappiness in my life. So.....I thought I would give this board a chance 😃 The wit and sarcasm on this board probably supersedes the drought years of the Bills easily. Gallows humor has a purpose. P S. It took literally 3+ weeks to get registration approved. If Mods can look into that please. Thanks @PromoTheRobot if you got this pushed through.
