Savoie lost out cause he got hurt in the same year Benson arrived. Both had to go back to Juniors or stay with Sabres. First trade made where I thought Adams did something he needed using a Prospect he really Valued and got a Very Good return. Was a Bad Captain. NJ and Dallas were in Complete Rebuilds, there is a difference. But Ruff did lead them to the Playoffs. Didn't take 13 years. Buffalo has TOP players in the League even if they didn't perform well last year. We beat some good teams and that wasn't a Fluke. Talent is there. When we scored more than 4 goals in games we usually won. Also did well staying in Low scoring games which should get better under Ruff. We need more OT pts. We got Goaltending, Good Defense and better Offense 2nd half. We lost the Season from the 1st half Performance digging us too Deep a whole.

When you shoot less you score less whatever the reason. Probably hurt, since Adams didn't add to roster except Benson scoring went down with Quinn out too. Played Defense more and did a better job as season went on. Eric Johnson and Clifton on wrong side really hurt Sabres starting off. Offense never really recovered since Sabres were done Early from Playoff run.

Career years don't happen at under your Prime years. Your projecting up and young in your years so every year should be a career year hopefully. Take Tage, almost looked like Tage was gonna get 60 but he got hurt late in year. So Tage has more Career type years ahead given what happens around him. Tuch too, injury stopped him maybe getting to 40. Heading into his Prime so a career type year is there for him. Peterka is projecting up too. Mid 30's would not be a Surprise. We don't know about the second line yet, If a trade is to happen it will be that line and a Player being moved out with that change. My guess is Cozens would be moved for a more Proven 2C. Also could be moved down to 3C since $7 mil would be what a 3C would cost for a proven upgrade player. Got nothing from the Bottom 6 last year Ruff will play fast and situational Defense. Best D is a puck carrying Offense, expect it We will start the year with 2 starting Goalies in UPL/Levi. Levi got hurt last year then sent down. I am 100% sure Sabres make the Playoffs barring Ruff being fired or trading our Top 5 players we built up for 3 years
