  1. I like him - he appears like he truly wants to be a part of this. That’s important especially since he came up thru the dark ages with this organization. I dont think this is relevant. Would you be saying this if Bryson also echoed that same sentiment? Olofsson? He seems to be playing a grittier game. Good solid bottom 6 guy you should have at a good cost - with top 6 potential. He is just another guy. Bottom 6 guys are a dime a dozen. Top 6 potential is highly debatable, and his penchant for making critical mistakes is still evident. There's a reason Granato went with Quinn on the first line and not Mittlestadt. They tried that earlier on and it didn't work. I will agree that he has gotten slightly better, but not enough to think he needs or should stay. His career high in goals is 10, which is not good enough. There's no way any of our top prospects can't match 10 goals. I'd bet Savoie does that in his first season provided he plays enough games. Quinn already has 12, 2 more that Mittlestatds career high (lol) and he's a rookie. Quinn is already better 40 points - only a minus 9. I’m pleased. Not a good benchmark to go by when only Olofsson and Bryson have a worse +/-. Minus 9 is minus 9. Not good when the team you play on is known for going bezerk in the goal scoring department. I dont mind the perceived value some think to seem hes gained. Makes him easier to trade. He's another failed pick of the Alex Nylander type. I wouldn't be surprised if Nylander turned out how Mittlestadt is now had he'd been given the same opportunities. Hope Adams trades him this offseason. Goodbye, Middlingstats
  2. That's my entire point. The game yesterday is a huge example
  3. They don't have enough overtime losses From what I recall over the past several years, teams that get in the final spot typically have a fair amount of overtime losses Buffalo and Ottawa are probably done. Each sit at only 4 OT losses and it's pretty late into the season. If I had to pick a single team to catch and pass either Pittsburgh or NYI, I'd pick Florida That said, a winning streak, even a small one, puts the Sabres back in it. If they're going to lose, it has to be in overtime. That Islanders goal is especially tough. The Sabres were being heavily outplayed but the loser point would have been huge Time for the Sabres to go on a 5 game winning streak. Now or never. But if they lose, they better make sure its in overtime
  4. I believe it was only over turned because it did not go off his skate.
  5. I think it's about time for the old Sabres losing streak Not saying I want that, but the implosion is coming They're gonna go 7-12 their last 19 games
  6. BS call but they still end up losing. Without a doubt
  7. Lol The philosophy has been the same no matter who the players or coaches are Try to outscore the opposition, play no defense
  8. No defense, no checking, no grit, no face off prowess Same style of hockey year after year after year after year...
  9. They stink already But I'd keep Clague in the lineup over Bryson anyday of the week and 500 times on Sunday I'd trade Bryson right now for future considerations
  10. Lol Middlingstats will never get to 30 goals. He's not that type of player He might, maybe, get to 20 goals sometime in the next 10 years
  11. I'd still trade him Seems like his likely ceiling in goals is only going to be about 20 While he does seem to be better in some aspects, he still makes headscratching plays He's very average to me. And he will desire an extension. No thanks. He's like a Jochen Hecht, but worse
  12. None of them are considered "old" yet
  13. Plus, on the road Big win incoming Refuse to get Sorokin'd Sabres. Just refuse
