This is the kind of game these humps inexplicably win surprisingly often. Or they might just lose 7-0. Who the hell knows.

And given how this team doesn't seem to bother showing up against teams on the back end of back-to-backs, anything better than a 6-2 drubbing will shock me. I'll watch out of morbid curiosity.

I just refer to any wins over good teams as "inexplicable" and have for a long time.

Do any Sabres fans really "panic" anymore? Seems like we mostly just shrug our shoulders.

Here is what I wish would happen RIGHT NOW - Kevyn Adams is strapped to a rocket wearing nothing but tar and feathers and launched into outer space. (Simply being fired will suffice if the theatrics are too much) - Jarmo is named his replacement. Jarmo built some pretty damn good teams in Columbus, something many felt impossible at the time. - Jarmo fires Lindy and his stooges (if that's too harsh, convince him to step down and make him an "advisor") and somehow convince DeBoer to take the job. It looks hopeless now, but with a good coach steering this ship, there's still a chance to make the playoffs. *Insert Mora meme here* - Use the rest of the season to evaluate who's worth keeping and who needs to go. If you're not legit pushing for a playoff spot at the deadline start moving guys to the highest bidder. - After the season, hire a POHO with experience, a vision, and a willingness to hold guys accountable at all levels of the org. - Actually try to REALLY improve the roster in free agency. Jarmo convinced Johnny Hockey (RIP) to sign with Columbus. He has the chops. Just checked, there's no palm trees in Columbus, either. Here is what I think will happen - Nothing.

I see no reason to believe anything other than this happens. Because, as I always say, this is not a serious hockey organization.

A lot of that with this Sabres team. Lindy and the buffoons next to him on the bench need to go. I honestly wonder if they do ANY coaching at all.

Does Power have any real talent besides being 6'6, though? I struggle to pinpoint one thing he's good at. Sure, he's a decent enough puck mover, but there's a lot of those. I see a really average offensive defenseman who is mostly a liability on defense and doesn't have a single clue how to utilize his size/length to his advantage. I'm sure some (a lot?) of that is piss poor coaching, but there are some things a guy that was as touted as him coming in should be able to figure out. He's in his fourth full NHL season and is he really any better than his first? When's the last time you can recall noticing Power positively for a whole game? I'm really struggling to recall one and I watch him pretty closely waiting for that "wow" moment you expect from a #1 overall pick (even in a weak draft). He's too damn passive.

Exactly this. This loss isn't solely on UPL by a damn stretch, but his track record has made him ripe for blame and two of the goals he let in are stopped by good NHL goalies. The Pens did not play a good game by any stretch and still got 4 past him and hung an .833 SV% on him. This is the kind of game teams with playoff aspirations need their goalie to steal for them. UPL didn't do it. And so as not to offend UPL's fans, hat tip to Timmons for two dipshit plays and to Power for playing scarecrow in front of the net.

Adams is the fart. Not the whimsical whistle toot everyone gets a chuckle out of, he's the brown tide, ate Taco Bell at 1 am "oh *****, why is this happening to me???" kind of fart.
