  1. I'll take that as a yes. Have a tissue sweetie.
  2. Are you crying now that the Sabres scored? Or do you just want to keep whining?
  3. Yeah, it's actually this board that's crying.
  4. First period summary. Blues get a lucky goal, this message board melts down yet again with not one positive comment.
  5. You'd fire the announcer for saying the period is going fast? Really?
  6. We're talking about this one game obviously, not 13 years, or low bars.
  7. But the thing is, they did play very well. If you follow sports you're aware that sometimes you play well and still lose. It happens. Saying it's just a cliche is just lazy.
  8. So.... you want Thompson and Dahlin to leave the team? I don't understand why some of you are even here. So many over-the-top comments, it's ridiculous.
  9. Seriously? So the young team plays great, makes the playoffs, and you're mad? Good god.
  10. I'm holding and waiting for free agency in the off-season. Some small sells like Okposo
  11. Because I trust the Sabres medical team with their care of Quinn. Quinn is not a patient of the internet poster doctor, who is speculating. Lighten up.
  12. I guess we need to listen to you instead of the medical staff.
  13. The organization, with their extensive medical staff, said about 8 weeks. At that point if they clear him, he plays, simple as that.
  14. I would say, at least in Canada, it's absolutely hockey culture, which is the predominant sport. You don't get the god-like adoration of other sports figures as much here. And it starts in Junior hockey or earlier.
  15. I'll say it out loud. How much of this stuff has gone on through the decades that we didn't hear about? How many of our idols have secrets from their past that would be criminal if word got out? I've heard stories from the WHL that I won't mention because they're second hand, but hockey culture has a deeper problem than this one incident.
  16. Apparently you're quoting me as I said we are on a 7-4 run. Which is correct. What I didn't say is we're "setting the world on fire". Why the hyperbole?
  17. No, it's not. Injury prone is when you have a player having the same type of injury over and over. As in the example I gave above, say a player has had a shoulder separation. Then he has the same shoulder pop out repeatedly. That's injury prone. The previous injury results in being more prone to the same injury happening again. Two separate injuries that have nothing to do with each other does not mean injury prone.
  18. Going into the boards at a bad angle injuring your ankle as Quinn apparently did has nothing to do with his previous achilles injury. It doesn't mean he's injury prone, it means he had two separate injuries that had nothing to do with each other.
  19. None of these players are injury prone. There's a difference between having multiple injuries and being injury prone. Injury prone is more like a shoulder that has a history of keeping popping out. Or a chronic knee injury. Quinn has just had bad luck so far.
  20. If the doctors say he's ready to play in 8 weeks, he's ready to play. Sitting while healthy does nothing for him and the team.
  21. No, it's time to continue on our little run of 7-4 lately, and make a playoff push.
  22. Our last 11 games we're 7-4. We're playing okay at the moment, which is why losing Quinn really hurts. I think that may very well be what it is, which is relatively good news in the big picture
