  1. I've always said Torts was the perfect coach for this young team.
  2. Honestly, there is no passion or a sense of urgency with this team which is strange because for the most part, they are so young. That tells me the coach is coddling them.
  3. Four critical issues from the past several years that have not changed and are a HUGE factor in the lack of success with this team. 1) Refuse to shoot the puck. 2) The absolute worst team in the NHL in clearing the puck from their zone. 3) Horrid on face-offs. 4) Refuse to hit. Teams are fearless when they play the Sabres.
  4. Watch McDavid the moment he hits the ice. That's what I expect from these kids!
  5. Other teams WISH they were as deep as us offensively. They will come in droves for VO.
  6. I'm sad that it had to end BUT: 1) He was not and never should have been a Captain. Not in his DNA. He just wants to play with no additional pressure that the captaincy brings with it. 2) By all accounts, he was not good in the locker room. His pouting on ice was mirrored behind the closed doors and it affected his teammates. 3) His handling and more so, the way his previous agents handled his injury with lies and sensationalism undermined not only Jack Eichel, but the Sabres organization as a whole and caused irreparable damage. 4) The damage that the Eichel camp caused, IMHO, was purposeful and created an immense "Buyer beware" and hurt the return that the Sabres could expect. 5) The type of surgery to be selected in the end is the decision of the team per the collective bargaining agreement that the players and their union agreed to . 6) There is no guarantee with ADR surgery or any surgery for that matter. In a perfect world getting back to normal is, depending what source you read, 70 to 85% IN A PERFECT SCENARIO. Playing a physical sport like Hockey is untested territory for ADR surgery, for good reason. If you're Joe Blow with a normal semi-sedate lifestyle, odds of re-injury is fairly low. Full speed full contact professional Hockey?? KA did everything right here. Good job KA! Good luck JA. I think you're going to need it truthfully.
  7. I am in Jack's position, save the professional athlete part of course. Regardless of which direction he goes surgery wise, there is a high likelihood of re-injury due to his profession.
  8. Eichel changing agents is very telling IMHO. My money is him staying a Sabre.
  9. I know this. Talent is the main ingredient for success. I'm more so looking for the recipe right now for us to keep watching Sabres Hockey. For me, youth and speed are key ingredients 😉
  10. I'm all over this new look team. Bust your ass, play at 100% and good things will come. I played in Europe for two years. We were short on talent BUT everyone of us gave 100% and you saw it night after night on the ice. We were a feared team because of all things, we had team speed! I coined a phrase with Coach Dickerson years ago on his WGR talk show " Speed Kills". He used it from that point forward. Trust me, any of you that played hockey and you have a forward or an entire line coming at you full speed, it's intimidating! I like what the GM is putting together here. And who knows, Jack may be a part of it 😉 .
  11. My point exactly! Cervical issues are no joke. One well placed hit and ....
  12. I have Neck and back Disc issues. I have seen leading specialists in and out of the area for consultation. Jack is wrong.
  13. Absolutely! His first few shows have been met with resounding success and great reviews. The kid does have "IT".
