He's actually a very good straight line skater, whether from a stop or from cruising speed, he is very quick to get to top speed. His tunnel vision is more of a result of not being a great skater going into turns and not great using cross overs coming back out of turns. Labeling someone as not a good skater means many things, but don't let this lead people to think this kid isn't an explosive fast north south skater.

First they need their starter and an idea of how many games they plan on using him. Then they can decide what they need as a backup. I'm not expecting it to be UPL.

The Sabres will be losing in a trade with some of their better players shortly, I wouldn't sweat the expansion draft.
