Like you I think separating Norris and Tage is a good idea but I’d put Tuch with Tage because of his defense. Haven’t seen much of Norris but my understating is he’s a 200’ center and D isn’t Tage’s forte - yet. -

Is Rosen our new enforcer? -
They’ve finally addressed strength conditioning. They now seem to understand you need 200’ players. i expect Tage’s 200’ game to improve considerably and lead by example. Goalie’s will improve with a better team D. Not claiming playoffs but turning a corner to look like a balanced team. That’s my hopium.

Vegas. Made a mockery of LTIR

Voted for Norris but feel Tage could make the biggest impact by adding defense and a bit of snarl to his game. Lead by example and others will follow.

Yeah my brewing was early ‘90s and it cost me $40 to make just shy of 2 cases of IPA and about $7 to go to the brewery for a growler. I did miss the aroma and roasting the barley ( I’d snack on some of the barley out of the oven). I didn’t miss waiting for the wort to cool so I could pitch the yeast and obviously sterilizing bottles.

https://www.abebooks.com/9780060531058/Complete-Joy-Home-Brewing-Papazian-0060531053/plp This book got me started in home brewing. There was a recipe in the advanced section - something to the effect of “Indialalia Pale Ale that was my go to for every other batch. Went to a brew fest and found a local brewery making the exact same recipe. That was it for me, no more sterilizing garbage cans full of empty bottles.

Back in the heyday of WWF they’d come to Syracuse 2-3 times a year. My ex-wife’s grandmother loved it and thought it was real. I took her to a couple shows and the last time got great seats in folding chairs about ten rows back. She was an Italian immigrant who spoke English quite well but a tad broken. During one match Adrian Adonis was pummeling someone and she stood on her chair and started yelling “he cheating, he cheating, Ronnie that sumofanbitch is cheating”. Next thing I know she’s off her chair and running toward the ref screaming he’s cheating. My wife had to go get her and she was so pissed off shaking I was worried - she was at least mid 70’s. I didn’t dare take her to any more shows. RIP Rose, wonderful lady.

Played in our HS gym back in the day.

Back in the ‘70s there was a Rochester band called Buzzo’s Bandits. Was at the Penny Arcade one night and they had a heavy set lead singer who came out for the second set all wrapped up in tin foil and went into Iron Man. Hilarious.

Power and Muel need to really ratchet up their games before I’m sold. Really like the addition of Kesselring hope he rubs off on them. Don’t know a thing about Timmins.

I think this is exactly what Byram wants but he won’t get the opportunity here with Dahlin and Power. He wants / needs to be “the guy” on PP1 to put up some numbers that get him in the $9M discussion. His career has been second fiddle to Makar and Dahlin so you can’t blame him for looking for opportunity. I think it has nothing to do with the city and culture.

Cuylle was my dream, but guys like him Kolesar, McBain, Foligno, Sherwood are missing from our top 9 and IMO we need someone like that.
-
We’ve got Bo for two more years regardless, right? The Goal is to make the playoffs before then so no need to panic trade. My return would be a power forward with nastiness and a defenseman with attitude. If not, he stays a Sabre.

I’m guessing when he came on board KA and TP developed a 5 year build through the draft plan. I think the 91 point season was unexpected. That said I believe after this year we’ll have a new GM as i think since TP was part of the plan, he may feel an obligation to KA. I could be nuts but it’s the only explanation I can come up with.
-
So essentially we have $6M to spend? I’d rather KA not trade Bryson so we’re not shopping big names.
-
Had to turn off NHL network. Just not feeling the frenzy.
-
Sign Byram and get Cuylle and I’d be content.
-
Did KA shed salary so he could match a Byram offer? Could that be why he can’t make a move? Or is that giving him too much credit?
-
Jake Allen at $1.8M stays in NJ.

OT: Change to Production of Sabres Broadcasts
Mr Peabody replied to That Aud Smell's topic in The Aud Club
I find the “too critical” reason hard to believe. Then again I find most everything out of the media hard to believe.
